A very comfortable and quiet hotel.

We paid a little extra for a larger room and were very pleased with the one allocated. The hotel was suprisingly quiet considering its central position. Staff were very helpful and when we asked for extra blankets they not only provided these very quickly, but also an additional heater for our room. Breakfast was excellent to.

We had not realised before booking that the hotel does not have a restaurant serving meals others than breakfast.

The images on booking . Com and very reasonable price.

This was a superior double room # 105. It was badly presented with numerous decor faults and maintenance issues, there was no heating in our bedroom as it was centrally heated and turned off downstairs. And outside it was 6*C and windy and wet so common sense would determine whether or not the hotel was worthy of some heat! The only person we saw was at reception and she was cold as she was working in a puffs jacket. When I went to reception she happily turned it on and it was then on all night. Unfortunately the dining room was dull and not warm. The lift was out of order, no signs displayed and given my disability the reception carried my bag upstairs . I have photos of the issues which I shared with an Asian member of staff who said he would speak to the Manager and walked away. Towel rail moves and needs securing, shower tray loose at entrance door, shower tray not emptying waste water, light at side of bed 10 mm gap from wall and cables showing sold as a , superior room but nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom, v small towels for guests , I would like to know what is superior?
