Disappointing

Great place to stay

Its a pretty place with a big car park and feels welcoming and cosy within. The rooms are plush and comfortable with everything you need including a nice touch of a couple of complimentary drinks in the fridge. I have stayed here before so can thoroughly recommend it (the breakfast is superb and a great selection of ales including nonalcoholic) but sadly during this stay there was a problem externally that was being dealt with that led to a lack of water supply so no running water at all. The staff knew about this but obviously didnt want to turn custom away and also hoped or thought that it may be fixed at any point. They were most supportive and offered a full refund as we decided not to stay. Otherwise great and well worth a stay.

Once i'd checked-in i was shown to my room which was located ground floor and what i could only describe as within a courtyard area. This ideal if you are off for an event and need to come back to your room during later hours. You won't disturb anyone unless you are particularly noisy. The room was AMAZING, huge, cosy, warm, extremely clean and the same could be said about the bathroom. There was a choice of several different types of pillows on the super king sized bed even a radio for background noise, which is ideal as i was travelling alone at the time. Breakfast is made to order. i chose the plant based option which was most delicious. Must say portion sizes are very good also. Would i come back. Most certainly. Staff gave a very warm welcome from start to end

Excellent quality, good location, welcoming team and delicious breakfast all at a great value price

The welcome, quality of room, gift of drinks in arrival and breakfast choices were all top notch.

Comfy bed, though the pillows were pretty unyielding for my preference and we (our fault) failed to realise the windows were double openers, so whilst my partner opened one to air the room whilst we slept (late and in the dark), it didn't let any air in as there was a secondary window which required opening. Our fault, but it did mean our quality of sleep was lessened.

Bit disappointed as soon as we arrived they were closing the bar and restaurant. We should have been informed as we were expecting to eat and drink at the restaurant.

Lovely hidden gem in nice location

Food was delicious and great value for money, staff very warm and friendly, very accommodating for allergies too, nothing was too much trouble. Location perfect, easy access, plenty of parking, comfy bed and nice little personal touches

Lack of lighting in room, felt very dark with only lamps, view from room was a bit rubbish out the back of the hotel on a dumped old van but not terrible/didnt ruin stay.

Great attention to detail, lovely characterful pub and friendly staff. This place is a great find!

The rooms are lovely and spacious and include the loveliest details. The staff are fantastic and the food is brilliant. Its always a pleasure to stay there - its one of my favourite places to stay
