Utterly gorgeous grounds, hotel. Mindfully planned to serve all senses. Exquisite grounds with the scent or oranges, herbs, mountain sea. Wonderful bar, fresh delicious breakfast with views of the sea. Room was fully stocked including kitchen and fridge. Awesome patio Hourly shuttle service

For an older traveler, the loft bedroom was comfortable but up steep stairs. This did not work well for esp given the bathroom is on ground level. Happily there is a sofa with pullout.

Idyllic and very special- if you're after a luxurious and quiet time

This place is special- a beautiful location, excellent pool and surroundings, and fabulous staff. The breakfast was fulsome and beautifully prepared and presented. Although it is a couple of miles from Forio - up windy lanes into the hillside - this isn't a problem because the hotel's minibus service is so good and when not available late evening it's easy to get a taxi with their recommend firm. I wouldn't want to drive up the windy lanes myself - much better not to have a car.

Superb Hotel.

Beautiful views and wonderful staff who can't do enough for you. Shuttle service until 8.30 pm and then Antonio who works all hours!

Leaving!! The wonderful weather, the beautiful situation and the superb staff Andrea, Louis and all the others who made our stay memorable. We can't wait to return next year!

It was beautiful and peaceful. The staff were kind and helpful. We appreciated the shuttle from Forio port. The breakfast was delicious! Restaurant across the street was terrific!

Set high up of the hills of Ischia, Poggio Antico offers a breathtaking view of the coastline and its famous sunsets. The grounds are gorgeous, filled to the brim with olive and fruit trees. The rooms were immaculate, large and exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was delicious and every single member of the staff we encountered was accommodating, beyond courteous and extremely friendly. I hope to one day visit this hotel again.

Incredible

We absolutely loved our stay - it exceeded all expectations on many levels. Francesco was always there to answer any questions, book restaurants or taxis and was so helpful with everything. There is a free shuttle that takes you to various places on that side of the island as the roads up to the hotel are particularly difficult (the drivers navigate it expertly)! The view from the hotel is unmatched and the rooms were perfect, we stayed in one with a balcony which gave the best views of the sunset. We only wish we couldve stayed longer! We will definitely be back. Thank you to Francesco and the team!

great views from our large room terrace and especially from the pool (sunset over the sea!), large and bright room, all 5 star comfort evel, great breakfast, lovely gardens, well maintained, lovely ancient but very well building too

getting there by car is only for good drivers with small cars (smiley), the road is terribly narrow and bumpy

Perfect place to relax on Ischia

Everything, from the spacious room, to the delicious breakfast in a beautiful surroundings, the breathtaking views from the pool and the perfect cappuccino :). It is such a quiet place to relax and has one of the best restaurants just 100m away (Restaurant Montecorvo). The entire place is very nicely decorated and you feel like on a small agriturismo, but with a boutique hotel touch. For us one of the best stays on our Amalfi and Ischia Trip.

The pillows and the cover could smell a little fresher, but nothing dramatic, maybe it was just bad luck for us.

Pampered perfection

The rooms were plenty large and had amazing views! The grounds had many places to just relax and nooks for privacy. The breakfasts were out of this world! The staff made every effort to take care of our needs with shuttles and restaurant recommendations. Seriously we didnt want to leave. This is a 12 out of 10!!!!
