2-star rated hotel deserving a 5 star rating!

Stayed one night to bunk over in JB, having booked a standard room (1 king sized bed with no windows) but was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Don't let the hotel's two star rating and distance from the city centre fool you; friendly and helpful staff, well set up rooms. I was worried about the reviews I have seen of other hotels of this price point, but all these complaints dissipated upon me entering the room; the cleanliness is impeccable, the room was no frills, no roaches, bedbugs or mould to worry about. Most importantly, the soundproofing of the room was good enough for me to get a good night's sleep. The shower was so relaxing and 'shiok' I got up early just to get a good shower. Water pressure is decent. Although this hotel does not offer breakfast, there's a very nice roti canai place round the corner which surprised me when I got my breakfast there. The chicken rendang curry will tentalise your taste buds.

The power turns off quickly once u leave the room, if that is the only disadvantage, but the air con was powerful enough to cool the room quick.

Toilet leaks from above unit and was barely able to sleep due to the water noise. Gave feedback to the receptionist guy but nothing happened.

If you win the room lottery, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay for the price.

Fairly spacious room, comfy bed and pillows, nice washroom.

The air conditioning was not functioning properly. Washroom ventilation was clogged with dust. Ants in room. Towels provided were slightly torn.
