Lovely host, breakfast and location but room condition was poor

I want to start by saying how lovely a host Debbie is, and the breakfast and location really are as great as everyone else has said

Unfortunately our overall experience was let down by the condition of our room. We were in the front bedroom which has two solid exterior walls. Whilst its nicely decorated, we spent our stay extremely concerned about the extent of the penetrating damp - the walls were actually wet to the touch in some places. There have been various attempts to cover the damp internally by painting over it in the bedroom and placing PVC wall panels over it in the bathroom, but the smell and black mould persist! I appreciate that proper remediation works are more costly but theyre really a necessity if the room is going to continue to be made available to guests.
