Deserves its reputation
Great welcome and very modern well appointed bedrooms. Breakfast was very good and I could choose what time I wanted to come down which was handy for a work trip. Nice room details with quality tea & coffee provision and bottled water included. Bed was very comfortable.
Due to the time of year or week last food orders were, for my stay, at 7:30pm and the pub closed at 9. There seems to be very little else in the vicinity unless you want to drive in which case no problem. Best to check

Brilliant! Will definitely stay again! (Regular traveller)
Everyone was so friendly and the pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms are just spot on! It made our stay that extra special Breakfast was fantastic and again the staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, and guests were treated so well. Satnav took us straight there, and free parking made all the difference. The Rose and Crown stands out in comparison to other stays weve had.

Room was excellent staff were great
Tiny bit noisy I could here others arriving late in rooms and about there ablutions. Pub decor a tad tired
