Disappointing

Didn't live up to expectations.

The Location and the Pool. This hotel was on a quiet back street 10 km away from the Bridge on the River Kwai, which was our main reason for choosing it. Set in a lovely garden, right by the river, with an attractive pool, first impressions were good. But over the course of the next 4 days, disappointment set in. The poolside furniture was inadequate and uncomfortable. They were no cushions on the chaise lounges, nor on the hard wooden chairs in the eating area. The rooms we had were spacious but again sparsely furnished. We had to keep asking staff to replenish things like coffee, tea, etc. The biggest disappointment was the TV. Although English Language channels were advertised on the Menu, none existed!

had a balcony room overlooking river. Fabulous to wake up and see river. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner

There was nothing we didnt like. The hotel is a 10 min tuk tuk ride from center of city but not a problem

Nice big room.

We payed VIP room for jacuzzi and there was only cold water. Although we were sweating all day wee need warm water to enjoy jacuzzi. The staff is super unpleasant. We came in the afternoon just to leave our luggage and rush to the train station to catch the train. We got back at 10 p.m. and our luggage was still by the reception desk instead in our room. Noone is smiling there, exept one gardener (like we were not in Thailand). Beside that I received 20 mails about payment before coming to the hotel, although the reservation was secured with my credit card (we didn't have this kind of problems with no other hotel in our one month trip)

A great location to explore the Kanchanaburi area.

Great location on the river bank with superb views. The location is ideal to explore the Kanchanaburi area and further afield. Nice spacious and comfortable rooms.

The restaurant is "adequate" rather than outstanding.
