We had absolutely no idea that the restaurant of the resort is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. To me, it is absolutely unacceptable. The night we arrived at the resort was a stormy night, and we had to drive all the way to the neighboring town to get dinner. A general expectation for a resort, especially with location like this, is to spend the whole day/night inside the resort, or at least you should have the options for the guests. OR the least you can do is to remind the guests (even after they booked the resort) that the restaurant will be closed on the days they stay there. We also had to walk our way inside the resort (which is a huge place) to get our car. On a stormy rainy night, it was absolutely not a pleasant experience, to say the least. Staff was overall pretty friendly. But overall the whole experience was much much worse than our expectations, especially considering the price. Would not recommend.

An oasis among the vines

From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were charmed. We spent the first two nights of our mini-moon at Tales, and I am so pleased we picked this hotel. The facilities are spectacular, it is quite literally breathtaking. You were welcomed with a warm mug of mulled wine, and brought to our room when we were ready. The hotel had a bottle of Prosecco waiting in the room, to help us celebrate. They also had made us a reservation in their hotel restaurant (it is so good, you should make a point of having dinner there). The room itself is large, excellent products (ETRO) and just beautifully decorated. The attention to detail and comfort are evident in every decision made in the design of the room. The views from our window were spectacular. We stayed in November (so already a bit too chilly to enjoy the gorgeous pools) but you can tell that Tales keeps their grounds well manicured! I will certainly book in the warmer months to take advantage of their poolside. Breakfast is also really good! The sheer amount of cheese you can have for breakfast is enough to keep you full until midday!

Not a 5* hotel Very poor and uncomfortable decoration. Restaurant closed as it is Monday For a 5* hotel, the room and bathroom are medium. Overvalued price given the quality of the installations It claims to be a luxury hotel, but I didn't see luxury anywhere

Beautiful location but think you could find more special hotels at a similar price point or less.

Location was beautiful, facilities were lovely, and the staff were so kind. Great pools, lovely restaurant, and the breakfast was exceptional.

The room didn't feel super luxe for this price point, and specifically we had real sound issues from above us (people just walking woke us up) and we could hear next door too. We were moved to another room, but that's not what you really want on your honeymoon or when paying 600 a night. The room was nice and the bathroom was ok but nothing special. There was a great bar and service by the main pool, but if you wanted to be in an adults only environment you had to go to a much smaller pool behind the hotel and with no bar. Seemed a strange choice given the core demographic is definitely couples and honeymooners. Restaurant was lovely but menu was limited and became quite uninteresting if you ate there for more than a couple of nights (we had paid for half board). Staff were lovely but very obviously under-resourced and stressed.

Amazing hotel, great staff, immaculately clean and great facilities.

Incredible property - surrounded by beautiful landscape and is superbly decorated. There were three pools to choose from, a small gym and spa facilities which were wonderful. The room was large and very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - really made our stay. The food is also excellent and there is an extensive wine list and good drinks menu. Definitely felt like a 5-star luxury hotel experience.

There were a lot of large stink bugs flying and crawling around the seating areas outside which detracted from the tranquil spaces however not the fault of the property - just a result of the location and perhaps time of year (stayed in mid October).
