Disappointing

A hostel for single drive through travellers

Friendly staff

Property is basically a hostel. It stays online that there are family rooms - I was travelling with our 7 months old and my husband and we got a room on the last floor with no elevator, no baby cot (costs 40 euro in any store) available and two twin beds even though we warned in advance we have a young child.

Convenient for a visit to the Rellingen/Pinneberg area

The Greek restaurant on the property was fine, except that my wife got an overnight bacterial infection from a lettuce salad. The owner is most impressive; she does everything herself from the booking to the restaurant to the cleaning. When the rear parking area was full she let us park on the sidewalk by the front door.

The principal drawback was lack of air conditioning, an amenity I realize is rare in Germany. In order to sleep we had to leave windows open, letting in the street noise. Sometimes there were loud voices and music on the street below around 2200-2300. Guests should be advised that the owner prefers to be paid in cash, and that a pension is not a hotel (e.g., no soap or shampoo are provided).

Superb

Great stay and amazing food!

Small but clean, functional and comfortable room. Very kind and welcoming host/staff. Breakfast was amazing and just the right quantities! The Greek restaurant on the ground floor serves amazing food in the evening.

A bit far from any activity, without a car.
