Superb

Great location and amenities, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for a longer stay

The location is great, close to the city centre and is walking distance from the train/bus station. The room itself was probably more than I needed for a short stay - there was a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, microwave, pots and pans, plate and cutlery etc. The balcony view was gorgeous and I really loved the products in the bathroom, especially the shower gel. Also loved the selection of books in the room, and there's an even better selection in the lobby downstairs which has a cosy reading space!

I didn't like that the bed was so close to the door and corridor, but I really don't have significant complaints about the room and the hotel itself.

Handy location but impractical design

-The location was handy for bike riding around the lake. -The apartment had a spacious lounge, dining, kitchen area. -The hotel had a good bar.

-The design of the apartment wasnt practical. We couldnt open the bedroom cupboards fully as the bed was too close. The bedroom was small. -We had to walk out of the bedroom and into a short corridor to access the bathroom. -The bathroom wasnt well ventilated and though the bathroom was a reasonable size there wasnt storage space for shower bags.

The bath was terrible. The facilities werent very good. All the room had was plunger coffee and very little provided. Stairs were dangerous.

Poor

Hot, stuffy and full of stairs

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was good value, located within walking distance to the conference we attended and had fantastic views out over Lake Burleigh Griffith to Parliament House. Beds were comfy.

The design of the unit was just bonkers. You walked into a wall of stadium-styled timber stairs that were the total focus of the unit. The living area was two flights up. The main bedroom was a flight down, the second room was a flight up in a different direction. There were "sitting areas" on the edge of the stairs (why???) and this meant there were no handrails. To access the pantry, you had to lean over a three step void. The risk of slipping was real and anxiety inducing. It was hard to understand how it ever got approval. But aesthetics aside, what made the stay really uncomfortable was the fact that the apartment had no air conditioning. When I mentioned this at the front desk I was told it was because it was an environmentally friendly unit. But I work in the property industry, and to qualify it needs cross ventilation of which it had absolutely none. So the unit was hot and stuffy (in November Spring weather) despite having three fans in the living room constantly on, the air in the unit was always stale and the bedroom fans rattled making it hard to sleep. Opening the main door to the balcony involved letting in eight lanes of freeway traffic noise in, which made conversation or TV impossible. Do not book a two bedroom apartment if you have mobility issues, suffer vertigo, small children or during a Canberra Summer. It should be noted that nothing about the stairs was mentioned as part of the marketing material. The unit was also grotty with lots of marks, scuffs and drip marks on the vertical surfaces. The view from the second bedroom was into scaffolding.

Overall great experience, beautiful hotel love the restaurant and would return!

Very unique interiors, so beautiful. Great restaurant and facilities. Spacious room. Staff were helpful and polite.

The layout of the bedroom at the entrance was a little odd to me. Bed could have had a bit more attention to detail.

Great location with views of the lake & close to ANU. Fabulous vegetarian restaurant in hotel. Comfortable self contained apartment.

The room was noisy & could have been darker plus there was only a double bed which was small.

Way too expensive & NOT recommended.

The room was large & comfortable. There was little more that I can add but I am nagged to do so!

The location was absolutely remote, the entry to the apartments was "public housing" like. The traffic noise from the expressway horrendous. The TV was unwatchable & the settings were locked. It was inferred that parking was included but cost another $160. Although not stated the (included) breakfast was totally vegetarian & very poor, coffee was an extra $5 per person (later deducted). Incredibly over priced for the location!
