Superb

Great place to stay when visiting Sherborne.

spacious rooms, comfy beds, simple decor, the tea/coffee/water in a little kitchenette on the same corridor is better than other hotels with kettles in the bedroom. Checking in and out was very simple and owners were very hospitable/flexible on time of arrival.

Superb

A truly lovely stay and the standard of the bistro meal was exceptional.

Our room and the hosts were very inviting and we really enjoyed our short weekend break. A very big bonus was the bistro downstairs. The quality of the produce and the way it had been cooked was outstanding. Such a pleasure and at a very reasonable price for this culinary standard. Hosts also kindly held dessert for us until we returned from a concert we had booked. Lovely time . Thank you.

A little road noise in our front elevation bedroom but there was good double glazing and it really didnt bother us too much.

Fluffy towels!

I always try to give a fair and balanced review but I don't have too many good things to say on this occasion. We only gave the owners just over an hour's notice but when we arrived both windows were wide open and the room was freezing. I assumed the owners had turned on the heating fully but this wasn't the case and it took a long time for the room to heat up. The shower was quite possibly the worst one we have come across - no pressure and impossible to regulate effectively. The property is advertised as a Bistro but when we arrived we were told it was closed as they were catering for a corporate event. It would have been useful to know there was no food as we were tired from travelling and just wanted to relax - that's one of the reasons we chose it. The two pubs closest to the Bistro didn't do food on the night so that was frustrating. One of the main issues though was the noise. We were in a room next to the busy main road and the traffic continued throughout the night. This was combined with the noise of people leaving the corporate event and tapping on the door to get back in. Not great for a good night's sleep.

Te bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. The wet room was nice.

Never met the owners. Getting in was a bit of guess work. Only got 2 channels on the tv

Super value for money with the best restaurant! Highly recommend!

If you come here you have to book into the restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious! No fuss just amazing value and wonderful quality. The room was super comfortable and we didnt have any issue with noise from traffic on the road to the front. Accommodating owners! Would highly recommend!

I wish we had been able to stay another night!

Well be back.

Ease of book in and ideal location. Short walk to Sherborne centre. Tea/coffee, fresh milk, biscuits, sparkling water plentiful and easy to access in the refreshments nook. Bistro, excellent food. Well worth trying the A La Carte menu, plenty of choice, delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

Very good

We were visiting family in the area so it met our needs perfectly - all the essentials without the frills.

We were lucky to have a room at the back away from traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. There was a cubby hole along the corridor with tea making facilities and free water in the fridge.

Right on a busy A road with no nice views.
