Our stay was great, host was exception. Grounds were beautiful and the breakfast was a highlight. We very much enjoyed our stay!

    Great stay!
The breakfast was amazing, the room was spotless and the gardens were beautiful. We came to stay after we got married here two years earlier. It was lovely to come back and reminisce over our special day.

Charming accommodation run by friendly, helpful staff.
Comfortable, clean, easy. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I liked the property a lot. Its simple and unassuming. What it lacks in luxury it makes up for in charm. The old house is kept in good order and the gardens are beautiful.

We stayed in room 2 The Butlers room which had a roll top bath, ensuite, and views over the trees to the sea. Entry is by keylock as staff are only around to man the tea shop. Room was very clean tea & even cafetiere coffee provided. Couldn't fault it. Lovely breakfast served in the old kitchen. Staff were all cheerful and so nice. They were also serving tea, coffee ice creams, cakes and scones from a window during the day. There were plenty of tables and chairs around to sit enjoy the views and enjoy tea and cakes. Tge grounds around tge House are amazing and as staying there, admission is free, so we spent a good couple of hours wandering around the different gardens, arboretum and woods. Piece and quiet with just the birds singing. Another bonus is that there are one possible two local pubs a short walk away, but you'll need a torch at night to walk back. Ideal for base to visit Whitstable, Rochester and Caterbury.

A wonderful find in the most beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, well appointed room with views of the gardens. Guests have unlimited access to the gardens that are stunning. Excellent breakfast cooked to order and plenty of choice. Elliott and Sophie are attentive and helpful hosts. Plenty of good eating places near by for lunch and dinner. The Red Lion Pun, a very short drive away, have a great kitchen to be recommended. Overall, a really great find and excellent value for money.
Bedrooms are very comfortable to spend time in, but perhaps a small communal sitting room for guests to relax in would be a plus.

    Stunning
Beautifully appointed room, good shower, cosy and spotlessly clean Ground were enchanting and such a treat to walk around. I didn't see any staff or people for my whole stay so felt like I had the place to myself. Self check in very easy
It's a shame that breakfast isn't served until 8.30, I was there for see business so started at 9 which meant I had to go without.

    Very good
A very nice break away in north Kent and a great base to enjoy the surrounding coast and countryside.
Mount Ephraim was a lovely house and garden for a couple of days away. The staff were very helpful and our double aspect room was spacious, comfortable and peaceful.
This is more an observation than a didnt like! Our stay at Mount Ephraim was more costly than our usual breaks so we had expectations of something a little more luxurious. As already stated our room was very spacious but had only one dining style chair which meant both of us were unable to sit and enjoy the room. Perhaps more of a disappointment and a surprise given the wonderful house, the description and price, was the fact that our room wasnt attended to during our stay. In these environmentally aware times we didnt expect towels to be changed for a 2 night break but we had hoped the glasses, cups, etc would be washed ready for our second day. Unfortunately the communal cupboard with spare glasses was empty! Bins too were not emptied. This is the first time this has happened in all our years staying at B&Bs!
