Great location, brilliant host and definitely recommend

Location was excellent - easy to get to the metro and fantastic for running as very close to Amsterdamse Bos which covers 10 km2 (2,471 acres). Boat setting was very peaceful and we were spoilt with the wine, drinks and fantastic snacks which were very much appreciated - thank you Gros! The beds were very comfortable - the shower hot and the coffee machine was awesome with great coffee for us to use. It was great to also arrive prior to check-in and leave our luggage in a secure place by the boat.

The time was just too short!

Tight quarters, better with own car

We liked having an area for all of us to hang out. It was ok being on the water. The view was ok. It wasn't the usual stay.

Checking in was a pain, and they needed an exact time days in advance. Three hours' notice to change time by 2 hours wasn't possible. One of the beds was a climb to get into, and we slept as a couple. First in bed was trapped. The bathroom was part of the back room, so you had to disturb the person sleeping their. Tight toilet space, expected for a boat. Couldn't flush toilet paper. Long and expensive taxi rides to town. Most times, taxi would turn down the pick-up location, so it took a while to get picked up. Would be nice if you had your own car. The back deck was full of spiders and their webs. The broken window made airflow limited during the heat wave.

Chill stay in a boat

Lot of space in common areas. Good heating in April. Host provided us with snacks, drinks and recommendations.

Toilet facilities are too small, but that is normal for a boat. Also the mechanism that heats the water is too noisy, but not unbearable.

Great accommodation but maybe best used during the summer months.

The boat was quirky and fun which was what we hoped for and expected. Gros kept us well informed on when the boat would be ready as we had arrived early. He also guided us into the parking and gave some really good bits of advice about how to get around the city. The boat was well equipped and comfortable for four with good hot water.

A roof window had been left open before we arrived and it had been raining heavily, consequently one of the chairs was sodden wet and took the whole weekend to dry out. There was a leak in the roof of the smaller bedroom which meant the corner of the bed was wet, this area was avoidable but annoying. Gros explained that we needed to keep the bedroom windows open for ventilation which we did at all times. Unfortunately this did not stop condensation from forming and our clothes and electrical devices were all wet and had to be dried fully once we had returned home.

lovely break at our own pace

great,quiet location,but only 20 minutes tram ride to centraal station. walks,woods,watersports and cycle paths all right there. a great fun stay. very comfortable beds. plenty of space in the galley and lounge area. domestic size fridge and 4 ring gas burner. Gros, the host was excellent and always available by phone. supermarket a km away(bring milk to get you started!) wonderful stay in great surroundings
