Motel 6-Monterey, CA

This was by far the worst motel 6 I have ever stayed at, and I stay at them quite frequently traveling with dogs. First, I had sent a message to the property when I made the reservation that I needed a downstairs room, it was ignored and never responded to. I was rudely moved rooms the next day to an even smaller (if possible) room. Both of the rooms were supposedly their "deluxe" rooms with a fridge and microwave. The problem is they just stuffed the fridge and microwave under the clothes rack, so there is literally nowhere to hang clothes. The first night there I had to kill a couple of ROACHES, and told the front desk first thing in the morning, and they could literally care less, just said ok and blew me off. I saw one go under the TV and looked and there were multiple egg casings and roaches under the TV. I also told them there was no cable and they said it would be fixed today, the told me 4 days in a row they are coming tomorrow. We finally had TV 1 out of 5 nights, again rude and could care less at the front desk. Upon checkout I told them once again that there were a good amount of roaches in the room, the fridge didn't have a door on the freezer so all of our expensive leftovers got frozen solid. I got a dirty look about the fridge and she said roaches? And then just shrugged and said umm sorry. Not even a simple discount or anything even after being told about multiple issues multiple times. The towels were so tiny and thin and about the consistency of sandpaper, never saw such bad towels in my life. The first room the beds were horrendously uncomfortable, the 2nd was a tad better, but not much. The rooms were the tiniest rooms I habe had in a hotel, and had really not much space other than to walk to the sink and back tightly. The only good thing I could truly say about the place was it had great water pressure. For being a motel 6 and dog friendly there was no dog area, and no waste bags available anywhere on the property.
