Christmas at number 5

We stayed for Christmas, it is a perfectly appointed cottage, everything you could possibly need and the view is beautiful and uninterrupted. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating and we genuinely couldn't have asked for better. It's worth every penny !!!

Historical cottage in great location with hot tub

Amazing location in a beautifully renovated historical steading. Easy self-check in. Cottage has everything your need to prepare you own meals. Hot tub was nice after a long day of exploring. Also, enjoyed reading the history of the place and its connection to Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Beautiful, cosy cottage with everything you need in a great location.

Had a fantastic 2 night stay here. The property was extremely clean, it had everything you needed and was very cosy. Lovely view and the hot tub is in a pretty private location. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Isle of Skye.

Only 2 little things that I would change/add to the property. Some sort of blind or frosting on the front door window, especially as straight ahead is the bathroom. Some hooks outside for the robes when getting out of the hot tub. Like I said, 2 small things but you really cant fault the property.

Lovely base to return to after visiting attractions

Location, comfort and hot tub

A wee hook outside to hand a towel or robe when accessing tub, also a gate to secure back garden prevents pet from going into adjacent garden.

we would absolutely return, this vacation stay has made us realize we want to return to Skye very soon

it was a perfect little home away from home with everything you need (or could want) to prepare meals. lovely bath products in shower. wonderful hot tub. fantastic views. peaceful and quiet. delicious nespresso coffee with morning supplies. laundry facilities on site

Luxurious cottage with the most beautiful views from your own hot tub

Perfectly located cottage which was very modern and clean with everything you could need to self cater. The icing on the cake was the hot tub overlooking amazing scenery including a stunning sunset. Highly recommend for a relaxing luxurious break

The only minor detail was to have more towels for the hot tub but that's being picky!

A great place to relax, a romantic stay, a great view of the sunset, fireplace to warm your feet

It was a great location with an awesome view of the ocean to watch the sunset. The fireplace/wood burning stove was a great added feature to add to the unique location and it was a great way to heat the unit. the hot tub was a big plus, the water was never real hot but it was more than acceptable. the guest note book was a nice added feature that really answered all of your questions. Having a kitchen was a big plus so that we could cook our own meals. The cottage was very quite and we were not bothered by the other residents. Karen was a great service to our stay as she helped to solve some small issues and was very responsive. They also allowed us to use their washing machine and dryer to do some laundry.

The small bed was a challenge, the Booking.com description stated "king size bedroom" but we missed the comment "queen bed" as all of our reservations had been for a king size bed, not a queen or double. Having a kitchen was a big plus so that we could cook our own meals as the main lodge multi course meals were not to our liking and we were not going to spend the money. Had there been a more flexible menu, we would have eaten in the dining room vs cooking our own meals. This was a lost source of revenue for Monkstadt, as the area restaurants were not really accepting walk in business. A blind of the front door window is needed for night time as a view into the bathroom does not protect the resident fromm others looking into the unit.
