never got too see how mesmerising the flat was. the host is an agency which adds another middleman layer to the process. the accommodation is one of many flats managed by a local hotel. upon arrival we checked in at the hotel and were taken to a flat. the flat turned out completely different to what was advertised on booking. com at first that didnt seem to be an issue as such but the front door lock didnt work and hotel staff took about couple of hours to fix it by which time all restaurants were shut and we went to bed exhausted and hungry. the following morning we were woken up by the sound of drilling next door where a whole house was being renovated. (There are lots of building works going on in the old town so you never know if you are going to end up staying next to a building site). We asked to be moved to the flat originally booked but were told it was not ready - a front door lock was apparently being fixed - a recurring theme of the experience. instead we were moved to 2 separate flats on a second floor in another building. My elderly mum with mobility issues had to climb up four very steep flights of stairs every time. the following day asked to be finally moved - same answer - the front door is being fixed but maybe, probably tomorrow they could move us. To cut a long story short, we stayed in two flats as had no wish to deal with neither the hotel staff nor the host who was sympathetic but of no help. Very happy to take your money but thats it. I asked for some refund given the whole experience- the host offered to refund one night AFTER the check out provided I felt a positive review. Make your own conclusions.

Good accommodation with room for improvement

The location is perfect with lots of options for food nearby. The old town is quite a happening place. The apartment was comfortable. It was very clean. Just the type of place we were looking for.

The apartment is managed by the Alp Pasa hotel. The reception person was not very well when we checked in (full of cold) at around 3 am, and wrote the wrong room number on our check in paperwork. Because the room number was wrong, I couldn't log on to the wifi (you need some basic details to log in), when I went to ask him what was wrong he lied and said internet was down and to talk to the morning staff who will get it fixed. I understand he was unwell but I had also travelled from far away and badly needed to tell my family that I arrived safe and sound (roaming wasn't working). Had to wait till next morning to buy sim card etc. My suggestion would be: - have clearly written room numbers and a short set of instructions in every room about connecting to internet, check in/ check out , cleaning charge etc. - have an intercom to call the reception. I was told to dial 0, but there wasn't even a phone in the room. - water bottles are standard in any room, costly or cheap. We didn't have any water bottles in the room. That's not really acceptable.

I absolutely loved staying at your house! The layout is so open and welcoming, and the kitchen is an absolute dream for anyone who loves to cook. I also really appreciated the outdoor space it was such a treat to be able to relax Overall house is a true gem and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to stay there.
