ok for one night in venice

ok for one night, free breakfast was offered, tea coffee was good, staff was friendly. lady in the kitchen was the cutest and very kind. sufficient blankets and pillows, comfy bed though not very big. clean room and bathroom.

the free breakfast in the morning was basic (which is okay for free) but some things (round buns) ran out in the beginning only so it was a bummerr issues at entry time couldve been avoided. customer service couldve messaged us the code for entry when we told them that we will arrive early and they said they cant do early check-in but can keep the luggage. when we arrived and called the helpline to open the door because no one was at the reception, we couldnt get theough so we messaged on booking.com. customer rep said call helpline, we said its not connecting, they said call now. when we finally got through a dude gave us a code for entry. we were waiting clueless at the gate after a long journey. they couldve given us the code prior to visit instead of this ordeal. it was inconvenient. the room wasnt as cosy as i wouldve liked, not sure if the inverter ac would work as a heater but it was so in the corner that it wouldnt have heated up the room and made it cosy anyway. water not provided in rooms so we had to go down 2 flights of stairs to get it from the reception. some simple customer service things could be improved

Traditionally Venetian

Ideally located in what is described as the most authentic district in Venice, next to the Basilica that the hotel takes it's name. Our host Stefano was very welcoming and checked us in. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and he made recommendations for places to dine and take a gondola in response to our request. Definitely try "Spaghetteria6342alletole" for dinner, just around the corner. The room was cosy and very clean with all of the usual facilities, tea and coffee making facility, fridge with cold drinks, TV, and adequate storage. There was a dressing table and chairs. The en-suite shower room was modern and reasonably sized, and the shower worked very well. In the morning we took the included breakfast described by Stefano as "simple". It was typically continental with breads, cheeses, cold meats, jams, yogurts, fruit juice, and coffee. The temperature during our visit was cool so we didn't need to use the air-conditioning.

An Unbalanced Stay: Mixed Impressions of Location, Room, and Breakfast at This Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, particularly appreciating its strategic location. Nestled away from the bustling touristy areas, yet just a short 10-minute stroll to the iconic San Marco Piazza, it offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. The room left us impressed in most regards; however, a recent incident just before check-out cast a shadow over our otherwise pleasant experience.

There was a problem in the bathroom that made our stay less enjoyable. The holder for the shampoo was broken, and during a shower, two big bottles fell and hurt my foot. It got swollen and painful. It made us visit the hospital and miss our ticket. I'll upload photos of the bathroom so you can see. The breakfast was a letdown. It was very basic, and surprisingly, there were no eggs. We expected better quality from a hotel like this. We had a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The location and the room were nice, but the bathroom incident and the disappointing breakfast took away from that. Sharing this to help others decide.

The location was very good and quiet. We received a small breakfast every day, so that was a nice surprise.

The checkin time interval is quite short, form 15-19:00, and if you arrive later you have to pay an extra fee. We arrived in the morning, but they emailed us that they cannot store luggage so the only option is to leave it at a lagguage store close to the hotel. They have a policy that the sheets and towels are changed every 4 days. If you want to change it more often you have to pay extra.

I stayed here for four nights and everything was better than expected. The room was very spacious and the shower was bigger than others in Venice. The accommodation is close to every tourist attraction and you have some vaporetto stations near (ospedale, rialto). They offered me a free breakfast but I was in Venice with my family and I didn't have it but that's a really kind gesture from them. The receptionists were very helpful and nice, thanks Stefano and Sebastiano! :) If I ever come back to Venice (I hope so) I will definitely repeat in this place.

A fantastic place to stay in Venice. I would return.

Clean, comfortable and close to everything that we wanted to see and do. The receptionist is very knowledgeable about Venice and provided accurate advice.

Very good

Perfect combination of being quiet at night yet central location to shops and hospital.

Room was surprisingly spacious for such a relatively small looking building from the outside. Stefano was very cheerful and helpful with tips on transport around the city and places to visit beyond the streets and canals in our immediate vicinity. Close proximity to the hospital proved very useful for us.

TV didn't seem to work that well but really only a very minor thing.
