The food, the atmosphere, the localisation! Nice

I thought It would be a real homestay (cooking and eating with family, chatting about their culture and traditions). But no. That was still a fantastic stay.

Paradise!

This is the best place I have ever stayed in - on any vacation - the surrounding area is so beautiful and the staff are incredibly kind. Breakfast is included and delicious (there are a few breakfast options as well). The coffee is excellent and there is free tea all day. The dinner is very reasonably priced, home cooked, and excellent as well and you eat family style with other people staying at the homestay, so you end up meeting people and making friends. You can also borrow a bike or a scooter and helmets to visit the surrounding villages and nature. Thank you so much to everyone at little mai chau I had such a lovely stay!

Top place to stay in the area. Great views, peacefull and a very socialized atmosphere specially at the time of the dinner. Food is amazing with a lot of vegetarian options. There is no reason to eat anywhere else during your stay here!

One of the best homestays

My highlight of the homestay was the typical vietnamese dinner. All guest had the meal together at a long table. Lots of fun and easy to get in touch with the other guests. You can rent bikes for free which is lovely to explore the nearby villages. The host lady is very friendly and helpful and also speaks good English :) the staff is friendly in general. Beautiful view!

It gets a bit chilly in the winter season. It was good to have two duvets for the night in the mixed dorm.

Tranquil getaway in the valley of Mai Chau

This homestay provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Located against a small hill in the valley, the rooms are nicely spaced out from one another and have lovely views over the rice paddy fields and on to the opposite mountains. Our bungalow was a comfortable and cozy stay, great value for money, and the perfect setting to unwind. The included breakfast was great, with options for beef ph, eggs and baguette, or pancakes (including a buffet fruit bar). We opted to join dinner at the homestay, receiving generous portions of tasty local dishes which we shared with the other guests staying at Little Mai Chau. The host helped arrange a full-day trek for us, as well as motorbike hire.

Simply amazing homestay

I stayed in dorms, which were very spacious and had large mattresses, even though bathroom was little of hand outside and downstairs from the dorm room. Each night, there is a dinner with all other guests with lots of different food, and every time food was super delicious. Everyone is just so nice and welcoming in here. And those views everywhere around, when you wake up and have breakfast and you are looking at those rice fields faded in the fog. I can't image better finish of my trip in Vietnam than in Mai Chau and this homestay :)
