Very good

We would stay again, but do be aware of financial issue.

Located on a gorgeous stretch of beach. We loved waking up to the view on the ocean, strolling up and down the beach, and having direct access with loungers. The property has really nicely maintained foliage. Staff were respectful and always greeted you. Housekeeping was very on the ball and left the place squeeky clean and always fresh towels. We loved the extra space in the family bungalow. We also loved the proximity to beach bars and massage on site. The restaurant is higher in price than others in the area, but portions are good. Food is pretty decent, but not the best in the area. If you tip, service is top notch.

Large gaps in the doors and bathroom vents meant cockroaches and ants were able to come in. Breakfast was beautiful and varied, but generally cold if you didnt show up first thing. The biggest issue was a payment issue. When paying by card, the desk makes you aware of the 3% charge which is standard, but does not alert you to an additional 5% fee for paying in your currency. I asked the difference specifically between paying in either currency and was told only you can choose. This ended up in an extra $100 CAD in charges. We were treated differently by the manager when we raised the issue and he talked in circles, saying that if they dont encourage tourists to choose this option the bank gets mad at them. It was bizarre and made us feel like the property had dishonest and in-transparant monetary practices. We were told we could initiate a refund through them and pay in baht instead, which we did, but still 4 weeks later Miami Lanta hasnt initiated the refund and I am forced to go through Visas fraud department because they are unresponsive to emails.

Good breakfast. Nice beach, fine sand, yet a bit rocky in the water, fantastic sunsets. Clean rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice variety of restaurants and bars along the beach.

Busy road very close behind room made it necessary with earplugs to sleep. Too few sun beds for the number of guests made it more or less impossible to use them (unless you join the people that go up before breakfast to claim one). But nice areas to relax near the beach anyway. Jellyfish most of the days during the stay. The hotel does not serve alcohol, but that is instead handled by the bar next door. Works, but evey meal results in two separate bills.

Staff were not helpful in showing how to lock the apartment doors or how to use the safe, also, did not help in bringing suitcases / rucksacks down at end of stay.

The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond if you need anything. The pool is a great size and having the beach right on your door step is great too. I'd definitely stay here again if I came back to ko lanta

Fabulous venue and direct access to beach and spacious and comfortable rooms . and a nice massage area overlooking sea

Staff very helpful and very willing to go the extra mile to do taxi bookings. Lovely location and nice outside seating for beach and around pool. Comfortable beds and room cleaning very efficient .

Disappointing

Bad. Gave up our room half way through our stay to go to another resort.

Location was okay. Some staff was nice. Beach was pretty good

So many bad things to say about this place that I can barely list them. Halfway through our stay we moved to a different resort because we couldnt stand being at Lanta Miami anymore. See complaints below: Muslim owned and staffed so drinks were from a bar next door that closed before dinner. NO outside drinks were allowed (forced sober dinner, imagine that). Food and drinks were charged separate and had to be paid in cash immediately. Our laundry load was lost for about an hour. Room/bungalow door did not lock from the outside. Lights and wifi turn off almost immediately when the key is not in the proper slot. Wifi was very very very bad everywhere. No mosquito net in the room and tons of mosquitos, could barely sleep because of this. No extra towels or water was provided. No conditioner or other cleanliness products. Limited outlets in room. Bathroom was dirty and bad water pressure. SO MANY CHILDREN!!! A terrible hotel if you are looking to be with your friends or your partner. The children will absolutely ruin it since the hotel is catered towards families. Smelled terrible. Response time via booking.com was absolutely horrible, took several days and multiple texts to receive a single word response. The excursions guy rented out faulty scooters and helmets. Staff barely spoke english, only two people could speak broken english out of the entire staff. Food was horrendous, but cheap. The bed was hard and only two small pillows were provided. Very crowded and very noisy, not a peaceful place at all.
