A vacation that we will remember with enthusiasm. Luxurious hotel, beautiful, clean. Everywhere helpful staff. Excellent food. The beach a few steps from the room. "Room boy" Mohamed very helpful and kind, every day he prepared for us an animal made of towels during cleaning. Waiters on the beach and in the restaurant (we communicated the most with Amed and Ibrahim) fantastic, we were sorry to say goodbye. On the beach several lifeguards, the hotel has its own clinic, we felt safe and were in magical comfort. We will definitely come back here.

Location, location! Beautiful reef, amazing Red Sea snorkeling and beach experience. The entertainment staff in particular were excellent. They created a cheery atmosphere for my kids and I, which I enjoyed throughout the stay!

Clinic on site and reception staff were too slow reacting to an emergency.

Very nice hotel

The staff was so friendly, always willing to help you and make the stay as comfortable as possible. And they were all so kind with our daughter. The hotel is very nice, everything is clean and modern, the buffet was great and the food very tasty with a large selection. The bay is beautiful as well, as you can see corals and lots of fish and meet turtles and sometimes a Dugong while snorkeling. We also went diving with the great dive center (scuba world divers - Iberotel costa mares) located in the same bay.

A little minus are the boats in the bay, that bring a lot of tourists for snorkeling and sometimes play loud music.

Disappointing

We visited Iberotel Costa Mares for the second time because of Marsa Mubarak bay. We accepted hotel's flaws that we experienced before (like construction noise, many noisy boats in the bay and the noise from animation's team). The ability to swim with the dugong every day is truly the best thing here. Most of the food is delicious (especially koftas) and there is a huge variety of it. Great and skilled SPA team. Room cleaning was perfect and our house keeping guy was very polite and helpful.

We booked our 3-week stay six months before arrival, we paid a full price and this was not a last minute booking. We got a room in the worst building in the resort (building 5000). From our balcony we could "enjoy" a parking lot view, back entrance to hotel's kitchen (with early morning truck deliveries), smell of gasoline and listen to a soothing noise of a generator/AC unit on the roof of the main building.. When we complained about it, we received the answer that the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. There is absolutely no excuse for such treatment, we booked well in advance and we were also returning guests. After three days of constant visits to the front desk (because that's what they told us "come back tomorrow to see if anything is available") we were finally moved to building 6000. The front desk staff is unhelpful, has a terrible attitude and is borderline rude. The beds in the queen bay view rooms are really uncomfortable. Previously we had a room with bay and pool view and had no complaints. This time we tried to ask for a top mattress to help ease the back pain we were both experiencing. Our house keeping guy tried to help us as much as he could and in the end we had four duvets on the bed and we truly felt like princesses, but this "fix" did not really help with how bad the bed was. I can only count a few days when we didn't have any stomach problems. Either a feeling of discomfort, nausea, or just plain diarrhea. Something, somewhere is terribly wrong at Iberotel's kitchen and/or bars. We have been in Egypt dozen times and we have never experienced such thing. The main restaurant was functioning perfectly the first week. Next two weeks it was opening late and food (like grill or pizzas) was never ready. Also one coffee machine was broken for last two weeks and there were huge queues for coffee in the mornings.

Indulgence in paradise

The hotel was well presented with modern decor, stylish and very clean. The hotel was tightly run with great service at ever point of customer service. Waiting on, reception, house service and chefs. The food and drinks were excellent and some food was so fresh it was prepared in front of you on the grill. The drinks menu was extensive and the waiters kept you topped up. The online app and news letter was a nice touch and really helpful. The house keeping also left letters which were helpful such as a reminder of daylights saving or an invitation to sunset cocktails. The beach and sea at the bay were fantastic. The marine life was as plentiful with highlights such as turtles, lion fish and blue spotted ribbon rays.

The only negative experience we had was getting picked up for a trip. The security wouldnt let our transportation in to the grounds and we had to walk 5-10mins to the gate. When we mentioned this to the reception manager he said it was unacceptable and did make sure our airport transportation was let in.

We spent a week here in the middle of September and really enjoyed it. The room was great for us as a couple with our 12 yr old son. The food was really good and everyone working was very kind. The best part for us was the beach. We liked that it had a sand entry. We were able to see many turtles and the dugong on several occasions. There's a nice little reef to the left of the swimming area as well. Abdo did a great job of keeping our room very clean as well! Hopefully, we'll be able to return one day.
