The swimming pool on the roof top with bar service was a plus and the beautiful view overlooking the beach and ocean was great. The large glass windows provided a panoramic view. Location is very near the airport.
The frequent sound of airplanes landing or taking off in the mornings and the sound of the vehicles speeding in the highway.

A good hotel with a great view of the sea.
I stayed in the suite so particulars to the room might not apply to all rooms. The room was very nice, the view was amazing (floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea) and the sunsets were incredible. The patio was a nice touch. The shower was very, very fancy and took a little while to get used to all of the different knobs and controls. The air conditioner worked very well. There was also a mini-fridge and safe in the room. The rooftop pool and bar area were great with a great view of the sea. It might not be a big pool but it was still nice. The ladies working in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. There is parking, though it is limited, but never had a problem securing a parking spot. Prior to arrival, messaging the hotel was very easy with prompt, friendly responses. As a foreigner, I was able to pay with a credit card upon check-in. There is a convenience store (Exito Express) in the building next to the hotel. I will definitely consider this hotel again, if I ever find myself back in Cartagena.

There is a bit of confusion surrounding payment for your room. If you are a Colombian you must pay for your room via bank transfer at least 24 hours before check-in. If you are not from Colombia, you need to let the hotel know this when you receive the automated message asking for payment. When I told them I was not from Colombia they responded and said that I would be able to pay via credit card at check-in. I also received another automated message saying that my credit card was declined, but I later found out this was due to booking.com not storing the CSC code in their system and the hotels automated system looking for this information. A quick message to the hotel confirmed that this was not a problem. You will also get a request for your expected arrival time along with a proof of identity. While the room had plenty of storage (and a safe), there were no drawers in the bedside tables or desk. Like others have said, the towels in the rooms have seen better days and are past their prime. The bed linens might not have been great but I thought they were perfectly fine and comfortable. If there is one single upgrade that would please a lot of guests it would be replace the logoed towels with new generic towels. This alone probably would have bumped up my score to an 8. The hotel is close to the airport so you will hear planes taking off. There is a busy roadway between the hotel and the sea so you might hear traffic. There is a house next to the hotel that occasionally had parties so you will hear them. If you are not overly sensitive to noise and in Cartagena to relax and enjoy the beach and city, these things shouldn't bother you.

I liked the cleanliness of the place. I think that the breakfast was great with a variety of fruits and different dishes available.
I didn't like lunch. It was served cold. But other than that, the attention was great.
