Very good

Excellent location, the decor is very nice and the restaurant was excellent.

It is dark, older people will not like it. Our room was a bit odd in that the shower was separated from the bed by only the shower curtain.

Disappointing

Very disappointed

The hotel decor is very stylish and has a sumptuous feel. The location was excellent, only a 5 minute walk from the central train and bus station and walking distance from city sights.

The entire interior of the hotel is dimly lit, which on the on hand gives it its ambience but on the other makes it difficult to see to read/get ready in the morning/put make up on etc. It would be better to have an alternative to the dim lighting in rooms if desired. The darkness must make it difficult for housekeeping staff to see properly because there was a considerable build up of dirt and dust in the corners of the bathroom. If you are not a fan of 'wine bar' jazz then this is not the place for you. The music is played loud on every floor and even in the corridors outside the rooms. It is still faintly audible even when in the bedroom. I'd never stayed in a hotel before which charges extra if you want a cappuccino at breakfast. It's not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I reserved my breakfast for 8am. I was finishing my breakfast when a waiter came and told me I had to leave the table a 9am. (It was 8.56am). The breakfast room was half empty so no guest was waiting for my table. I asked if I could finish my tea, the waiter rolled his eyes and grudgingly told me I could finish. Gee, thanks. At no point in my stay, either breakfast or checkout, was I asked by a member of staff if I was happy with the service. Again, not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, sadly.

Exceptional

The property is beautiful and very hip. I loved all of the unique touches, especially the sounds the elevator made when you pushed the button. Very fun!

The room we were in was very close to street level and you could see in the room. We had to keep the curtains closed most of the time which made the room very dark.

Superb

Beautiful quirky hotel in the heart of Gothenburg with the most comfy beds.

Stunning hotel decor with lots of quirky features. Room was gorgeous and bed super comfy. The location was perfect for our trip and everything we wanted was walkable.

You had to book a breakfast slot but even when you arrived it was still too busy. I think if that had been managed better people wouldnt have had to go from the 4th to the ground floor with their breakfast trays.

Great location, lovely breakfast and pretty room.

Location is good, love the decor and coziness. Breakfast was also great.

No proper bin in the room (only a tiny one in the bathroom), no wardrobe - although we booked a small room. Was quite run down in places - the wallpaper in the bathroom had been peeled off the wall etc.

The hotel is lovely but the room was so small and impractical.

The restaurant, bar and staff were all fabulous. The decor was interesting and the hotel had a romantic feel.

The room was so small, there was no where to put your suitcases or clothing. The lighting in the room was nice but there was no option for a brighter light to do your makeup or just get ready, so we were getting ready using our phone torches! The only door with a mirror on wouldnt stay open on its own so I had to use the iron to wedge it open when doing make up / hair. These small things added up to make time in the room unpleasant.

This is unacceptable! One of the reception staff had my Visa card in his hands and used it 1 month later to make purchases in Sweden worth over 5,000 euros!
