Hotel Matterhornblick

My name is Patrick Leary my partner and I stayed in this hotel in room 203 last week. We arrived on the 22nd and were expecting to have a beautiful stay in zermatt. Initially everything was fine. On the 24th my partner started having some itchy red marks on her legs band we assumed she was having an allergic reaction to her new skiclothes. For the next few days she had some more red marks which we again just assumed was from sweat or her skin clothes. However on the 27th we found bettwanzen/bed bugs in the bed. We knew they were bed bugs as when I squashed it it was full of bright red blood and when I looked it up on the internet it looked exactly like a bed bug. I went down and told the staff and initially the first man I told didnt believe me but I persisted and eventually they agreed to take my mattresses out and my bed frames. The staff put the bed frames in the sauna which they told me would kill the bugs. Initially they refunded us one night which at the time seemed fair as my partner nicola only could see a few two bites on her legs. However since the day after we left numerous bites appeared all over my arm, forehead, neck and back and I have had a bad allergic reaction to the bites causing me intense itching which has not stopped for the last week. I do not think it is fair or right to have paid that much for room which has now caused me to not enjoy the rest of my Holiday as I cannot sleep at night. I am requesting a full refund me for the cost of our stay there as it is not right for us to pay for a room which had bed bugs/bettwanzen and has caused me terrible sleeps and horrible itching for the rest of my trip. I have taken many photos to prove my body is covered in the bites and have been unable to have a good night sleep since and therefore and struggling to enjoy the rest of my holiday. Initially I emailed the hotel with all this information as a courtesy to allow them to do the right thing and refund me.
