Everything was nice.

A train goes right by the building, but air conditioning works properly so you can close the terrace door for the night.

Exceptional

The Hotel Iris at Genova was my favorite stay during our travels through Europe.

Loved that the hotel was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff very friendly and informal. Parking easy. You walk out of the hotel, turn right and beautiful view of the Sea and coast. Continental breakfast, you can even bring some fruit and pastries to your room. 5 minute walk to train or bus which takes 10-15 minutes into center of historic Genova. Loved it!

Actually, there wasn't anything I didn't like. Our room was on second floor which we did have to walk up. Easy stairs. We didn't mind that at all but if you do, ask for a room on floor with elevator service.

Good for a short stay.

We only stayed for one night during our trip. Location was OK, outside the city. Free parking place. Nice staff. Very close to a beach (but the beach is not a nice one).

Breakfast was quite poor but for that price it was OK.

High cost benefit for a 3 star hotel!!!!

Bad location. Parking available. We paid 30 euros for breakfast. our 4 year old son was also forced to pay. Breakfast poor at all. I think that of the 7 hotels I've been to in Italy, the weakest of all. Not worth it. Very polite receptionist. bad value for money for a 3 star hotel.

Disappointing

Genoa is NOT a nice place

The hotel was ok but Genoa is a dump and this hotel is based right in the middle of the worse bit. After 10pm, the place is surrounded by people drinking, singing, shouting, fighting! Fireworks at 2am then woken by hotel guests at 4am and 6am, the staff in the hotel ignored this. We like a drink and party as much as anyone else but this was more like a mob. We will NOT be returning
