The Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham offers a fantastic stay in a beautiful building close to the town centre. Guests enjoyed exceptionally comfortable and clean rooms, with on-site parking available for a (Read More) small fee. The dining experience was elevated by excellent service from staff, with a taster menu paired with wines creating a delightful evening. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay and dining experience.

Very good

I would consider staying here again if we revisit Cheltenham in the future.

Lovely building, with nice furnishings and great location. It was also quiet and the bed was really comfortable.

Limited parking on offer and then we had to pay for the facility.

Disappointing

Will not stay here again.

The location is only good thing

Unfriendly staff on reception. No smile or nice greeting on arrival and not helpful throughout stay. Had to wait a while to get served at bar, very short staffed. Breakfast was poor, not a lot of selection and egg undercooked with white very runny, again short staffed. We had Deluxe room & Classic room, both ok but not great, heating control didn't work correct and Classic room had a damp smell. Will not stay again as disappointed With to many things. We were told free parking on booking.com and then charged 10 per night

Nice accommodation,food fair to middling.

Smart and mostly well kept

Expensive breakfasts which were very dear for what we got( which on one of the days was a very brief continental breakfast ) with poor service.

Hotel has a very sedate atmosphere, the Christmas decorations were fantastic!!

The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay a wonderful experience.

Superb

Classy, Christmas Hotel in the 5 mins from center of Cheltenham but still on a quiet street.

As always with Hotel Du Vin, tastefully decorated, comfortable, great location and chic. Most of the staff were quite young (back from Uni) but were all excellent and good company. Very polite and on the ball. Food was excellent. Good coffee in the room (Ground Coffee bags). Decorated for Christmas and a good vibe even though there were not many in. I was very happy with the meal, room and service so gave an additional tip to the Service charge. The next day, reception noticed this and offered to cancel the service charge in case I had missed it. Obviously paid tip and service charge (which is evenly split between all staff.) A great stay and will be staying again.

All issues due to me not specifying correctly. Very minor issues and not raised with the Hotel as I realised I had rushed my booking and my fault. I was expecting a walk in shower (wife had just had a hip replacement) as every other Hotel Du Vin I have stayed before had one. However, I was in a cheaper room and hadn't looked at the options in sufficient detail. Shower in bath still accessible. Obviously you get what you pay for so read the website. Sprouts were too firm for my liking. Again, I should have asked for well done. Waitress offered to change but no issues, just not to my taste. Parking was fairly limited so we came early to get a place. Again, Hotel Du Vin mention this on website and cheapish parking is available close by if full. So, bottom line, pay attention and ask for what you want. Hotel was still excellent!

Needs more staff

The best hotel bar in Cheltenham. Nice big room (deluxe) and good location.

There was literally no staff. No-one on reception when we arrived. Eventually one person turned up. We went to the bar: no staff. The lady who checked us in came to serve us. We ordered food and it took so long to get a sandwich we were late for our meeting. Breakfast the next morning: just one member of staff who was completely swamped. Checkout: no one on reception. Probably the nicest hotel Ive stayed at in Cheltenham but they need more staff.
