Showing its age. Needs updating.

15 minute walk to downtown and several pools with spa services. Beautiful pools and vegetation throughout this historic property.

This property is showing its age. Some Fixtures were rusting, bathroom was very old and even common areas were outdated. We were there in September and 90% of guests appears to be over 70 years old.

Not 4* but a lovely 3* hotel

It was very clean and very beautiful! Photos dont do it justice. There are several pools at different temperatures. The staff were also very nice and friendly, our first room was next to building work but they quickly moved us to a quieter room and resolved the issue immediately. The food was nice enough but overpriced. The cocktails were good! We had lovely and fairly priced massages at the spa

It wasnt a 4* hotel but a nice 3* in my opinion. Its tired and needing a lot of tlc, including the bedding, towels etc with stains. There was very little information given at check in so left to discover that there is nowhere to eat most the day or go find some of the more hidden pools etc. The restaurant is only open 1-2.30 for lunch and then only a set menu for dinner for 50euros from 7.30pm. The third restaurant wasnt open at all in our stay. They try charge extra for anything, use of towels at the pool and refreshing them each day they charged us but dont tell you this until check out. They dont prewarn that swim hats are compulsory and charge you for them too when you check out. Also make it very difficult to get drinking water, only have one small cooler in the spa (which is shut between 1-5 also) and they wont allow you to fill bottles for hygiene reasons and wont let you buy big bottles of water away from the sitting at the restaurant. So forced to keep buying over priced small bottles. Also there is no food or service around the pools. We heard other guests complaining about the volume of the pianist who plays very loudly until 12 which is by many of the rooms (luckily not ours). There is a gym but no air conditioning in it

wonderful stay in this comfortable clean beautifully maintained hotel .

beautifully maintained . clean lovely comfortable rooms and fantastic buffet breakfast . The swimming pool is amazing as are the smaller very warm pools . nice calm atmosphere . very friendly helpful staff . free shuttle is an added bonus . Highly recommend.

The perfect end to a great trip!

Being at the end of our 3 week trip from Australia, we were looking for rest and relaxation. This was the perfect spot for this with the many pools, spa and beauty treatments

The food and alcohol was rather pricey.

Very good

Poor quality of fresh fruit.

Pools, greenery around the hotel. Good size room.

Lack of Fresh Fruit. Kiwis were inedible, not even ripe. Canned fruit not acceptable. We purchased fruit from the supermarkets and the fruit was excellent so why was the hotel fruit offered so poor ?
