Great!

Really great hotel as a base in the city. Amazing location for walking in town, easy to find, free parking attached, great showers. The room was comfortable and clean with good storage and really nice shower. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Perfect to come back to sleep if you plan on spending days outside of a hotel. Would definitely return for a stay.

Only downside to our room was the lavatory room door was glass (not clear) but didn't go all the way to the ceiling. Beautiful design but not ideal if traveling with another person (as a personal preference).

Average! Probably wouldnt choose this place again!

Location was perfect. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Breakfast was in the foyer of the reception area, not in a specific dining area/room. breakfast was not very good, no fresh juices, only 2 hot options, tasteless scrambled eggs. I expected a better breakfast for a 4 star! The pool was out of order for our entire stay, due to filtering problems, and water was going green. I was the one who informed reception of this problem. So it was a shame not to enjoy this feature... Rooms were nice size, except bathroom lighting was very weak, was quite dark.

Great rooms in a great location.

Fantastic large room/suite in a great location. Parking facilities available. We even got a takeaway breakfast on our last day as we had an early check out.

An oasis in Ponta Delgada

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Ponta Delgada. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the bar/lobby area a nice place to sit and have a coffee or mojito. The staff very friendly. There is also a pool and loungers outside, but we didn't make use of them. Breakfast was good. We couldn't work out how to drive up to the hotel initially since it is on a street that appears to be a pedestrian zone with cafe tables on it etc. In fact you can drive down from the street above and there is underground parking which we used on the last day. It is tight access though so most of the time we parked nearby on a street (which is free over the weekend until 8am Mon).

Superb

Super friendly hotel in a great central location.

Hotel staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Location was excellent and ideal for exploring the different areas of Ponta Delgada. Room size was fantastic and kitchen area reasonably well equipped. Room always cleaned brilliantly and regularly.

Pool area often had pigeon mess and the pool didnt appear that clean. Breakfast was good but it might have been nice to have had a bit more variation.

Pleasant but not great, a bit disappointing

The location is great, right in the heart of the city, the staff was always nice and available.

The swimming pool (one of the reasons why we picked this hotel) was not what we expected, it was a disappointment, as it was full of pigeons and pigeons poop inside the water and on the deck, so we didnt even use it. The suites terrace was a bit sad on the first floor, no table for meals, so we didnt use it as we expected for light meals, there was no view - we had a really tall wall (around 5m/6m high) surrounding the terrace. The suite didnt look that clean, when we checked in, the bathroom had some weird smears/spots on the walls surrounding the toilet, when the cleaning team came in they always left the bathroom floor full of shoe marks, it also needs better lighting. The breakfast was another disappointment, very poor, very little choices, every morning the same, for a 4 star hotel with continental breakfast, I sure expected different varieties of fruits, bread, more regional/local options, etc.
