Hotel 71 by Preferred Hotels & Resorts offers an enjoyable stay with unbeatable views and a convenient location. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful while the room comfort and convenience are (Read More) top-notch. The only suggestion is to consider enhancing the room decor to add warmth. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and highly recommended, with a great staff and a suite offering a stunning view of the Frontenac and the water. The hotel is also conveniently situated in the heart of lower old town, making it easily accessible to upper old town.

The hotel is nice and modern with good lounge spaces off the lobby which include wine dispensers to easily grab a glass of wine and relax. The room was nice and modern, very clean and a good size. The hotel had chocolates and a welcome note waiting for us in the room when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. We were staying over Christmas and they also left treats for us that day when the room was serviced, which made Christmas even more special. The hotel is in a good location to easily access the lower old town, and is also a short walk up to the higher old town. We had a wonderful time in Quebec City and really enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71.

An Architecturally Exceptional Hotel w/ Great Service

I've stayed at Hotel 71 several times. We had an issue during our stay but the manager made things right upon settling up with our bill upon check-out, so we will continue to stay with them moving forward. If they had not made things right we may have had to reconsider for future trips to Quebec.

Our room's air conditioner had issues functioning during our stay. The staff immediately brought us a floor fan which helped a lot as this was fall and not summer, but nonetheless it was a little disappointing. I have not reduced the hotel's rating however as they made things right with a discount on our total bill.

My stay was very comfortable and non problematic.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful, even though I didn't speak French they were accommodating. The room was perfect in size and amenities.

Not having an available microwave. Because we stayed during the holidays, for late night or early morning snacks, a microwave would have been helpful.

The rooms are very confortable in every way: the sheets, mattresses, pillows and bath robes. The restaurant is very good too and the view from the window is gorgeous.

Excellent location and great views

1. TV cannot use chromecast/airplay, explained to staff but they cant fix it 2. hotel at this price should offer bottled water or purified water dispenser in room, having only tap water is unacceptable for such price range 3. sink in bathroom is slightly detached from the countertop, would move when putting a small amount of downward pressure, could lead to safety issues, it needs much stronger adhesive or renovation to make issue it is fixed in place 4. shower door does not have indication of pull/push, when handled the wrong direction the door gets easily stuck and could possibly shatter if handled uncarefully, could lead to safety issues

Highly recommend the hotel, great location, clean and large room!

The room was great, large enough to cater for 4 Adults. The bathroom was huge and included a bathtub which was great!

The lack of room service and did not offer any water. The lighting needs to improve.

Superb

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71. Location is unbeatable and the views were very nice. We have no negative comments about the comfort and convenience. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The only suggestion we would make is to consider some enhancements to the room decor - the room while comfortable and offering all conveniences - was a little stark/austere. It could use some warmth. Thank you!
