Fire Alarms

Room R 008 was a nice setup but again no aircon. A heater was provided it but still chilly.

The Fire alarms really ruined my stay. Was gonna stay for 3 nights had to leave after the second night after been woken up again on new years day with fire alarms. Paying over 300 for a room you expect to be warm and have a good night sleep. Stayed at the hotel before and the fire alarms have gone off so its time to find a new hotel. Which is a shame because its a nice hotel with good staff

Fire alams sounding two nights in a row awful room layout

Nice hotel near bullring

Stayed Saturday 30 till Monday 1st jan fire alarm went off on Sunday morning at around 5am for a minute red flashing light in room. Could not get back to sleep. No apology or explanation. Fire alarm went off again Monday morning at 4am for an hour had to evacuate no communication till guests complained and demanded what was going on. Woman at reception guest got defensive and rude. Then a man shouted it had been resolved go back to your rooms. We were then sent back to our rooms. No apology till a letter got shoved under door hours later. Would not stay here again. Tv in room on wall to right of bed has to bend round to watch tv awful layout. Noisy guests in room 105 next door on Monday morning had no sleep at all.

There was a malfunction with the fire alarm New Years Day at 6:30am in the morning causing all the guests to be huddled outside for as long as 40mins, no compensation at all was offered.

Location is great Accessibility

The water on the bathroom floor was almost going out the room floor. No sockets on the side head board to charge our phones No water to drink on the fridge Due to the fire alarm, and there where inconvenient, the management could give the guests on the day a free meal or breakfast to compensate for the disturbance Other staffs were quite rude in talking to the guest while there were alarm going on, they could just talk in nice way. Or tried to calm the guests but they are the one who were acting not nice to the gurst

Hotel itself was nice, check in staff were nice

All alarms went off in the building at 6am on new years day and they evacuated everyone. We were told it was due to someone smoking on 6th floor. Looking at other reviews it seems it may be an issue with their alarm system. Not sure why cigarette smoke in one room means alarms in all rooms go off and they have to evacuate the whole building.

Very poor

Absolutely terrible, very unsatisfactory and feel a huge waste of money and a time

Location

The fire alarm went off both mornings waking us up at 06:30. The domestic staff were found in our bedroom on the first morning and when told they could leave the clean they returned back to the room without knocking 3 times. The bed sheets smelt of curry on the first night making for a very uncomfortable sleep. The room temperature was either really hot or really cold once the temp was turned down. No happy medium. The bed was very uncomfortable and pillows too. We had to leave early on the last morning as the fire alarm did not stop going off this resulted in our plans for the day being cancelled as no personal care was able to be completed and no time to dress in clean clothing for the day. This meant a loss of a day for us on new years.
