It was a nice stay, but i feel because its a timeshare resort, it caters more to the members..

Nice property, liked facilities

The checkout time, 10:00am, and check-in time 4:00pm. Has 2 rooms reserved, I arrived at 3:30, one room was ready and the second was not ready until close to 4:30. Very in convienent for my family who had 2 young kids 11 and 13 and had to wait 45 minutes. This is the second time in the last 2 years that I have stayed at this resort that the second room has not been ready. If the check-in time is 4:00pm the second room should have been ready

A Central Coast Gem

The property itself was excellent. We will definitely be going back to stay several more times each year. The activities and the location are excellent.

We initially booked a week through Booking.com, which ended up being a huge mistake. Because we needed to make a change in our arrival date some how that change didn't communicate between Booking.com and the hotel system so when we arrived, it was a cluster. Fortunately, they still had one available room that was used as the model and they allowed us to upgrade to that room. My recommendation is not to use third-party booking companies, and to book with the hotel directly.

Nice location obviously

Felt kind of like a cult with the whole timeshare come ons with the phone message and being sent over to the concierge to talk to them. Room advertised as with balcony and that was tiny and impractical for two people to sit comfotably so it was kind of deceptive. Check in time at 4 and check out at 10 seems very stingy with the rates paid. Overall it was a nice place but it was not what I hoped for our 30 year wedding anniversary. Should have stayed somewhere else in Avila but we used to go to this hotels restaurant many years ago and I thought it would be nostalgic but it was not.

Love the view of the ocean. The staff are wonderful. Laundry facility that doesn't cost anything except for the soap and dryer sheets. The kitchens are great makes you feel like home.

it was inconvenient and horrible.

There were no facilities at the property other than vending machines. The property didnt have a restaurant or a bar. it did not even have a snack stand. And in order to buy something to eat, you needed to drive to the downtown area. it was old and dated. it had an old residence smell. And the concierge tried to sign me up for a time-share presentation.
