Overall, guests had a great 4-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island. The hotel had great service, clean facilities, and a pleasant staff. However, there were a few complaints. One gu (Read More)est was disappointed that the pool was not heated, while another guest found the beds uncomfortable and the room too dark. There was also an issue with the front desk regarding a pet bird. Despite these issues, guests enjoyed the hotel's proximity to activities and the beach.

Exceptional

Room location was excellent facing the ocean, over the pool and beach bar. Breakfast was excellent, as well as dinner at the bar while watching football bowl games. All restaurant and bar employees were friendly and professional. Enjoyed a hot coffee at Starbucks downstairs every morning. Noticed that staff was always sweeping, mopping and cleaning the common area furniture, as well as wiping down the tables in the morning by the pool from the overnight dew. The landscaped areas around the resort was beautiful. Excellent accommodations!!

Great spot that we have been to before & will come to again, just not a 1st floor room near the pool

Room, bar/restaurant, coffee shop, etc.

The central air unit in our room was incredibly loud. It kept my wife awake almost the entire first night. Also the hallway servicing the first floor rooms that face the pool area is extremely noisy with housekeeping staff constantly rolling laundry carts through, talking loudly, running fans to dry the tiled floor, and accessing the housekeeping storage room (which was directly outside of our room)

Very good

It was a fine stay. Nothing extra special but also not a bad stay. Minus the pool and hot tub.

The scenery to walk to the beach was nice.

One of the hot tubs was NOT hot. The pool needs to be a heated pool. It was very cold so my daughter and I couldnt enjoy it. We are from Chicago where its cold so not being able to use the pool sucked.

Never staying at a Wyndham property as I had a bad experience here.

View room. Of the rooftop! Staring at the SC unit and crap on top of it was a view we paid for? Really? Property authorized my debit card and wasnt supposed to use it. I was using a credit card! Needed more lights in room as there was only one in the corner and very hard to see. Never came to help or offer a room change. Completely forgot about us.

It was okay. A bit disappointed.

Location to beach, amenities and bar were nice.

It was disappointing to pay for a beach view room only to have our view of the beautiful beach to be blocked by ugly palm trees. They were not strategically placed.
