Being one of the most famous Houseboat in Srinagar, needless to say, this is a magnificent Houseboat. You can spend lots of time just appreciating the architecture and the display in the building. What's even more impressive is the top-notch service. It's the little details that makes a big difference. Everything is taken care of. Staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. The place is very beautiful that gives me thought that I should have come back here again. The people are very accommodating and the view is very relaxing. This place suits for refreshing and breathing for a while. Overall experience is wonderful

I promise your heart will be full with love for the people of Kashmir and you'll want to come back

The fact that this houseboat is gorgeous with all the intricate cedarwood carvings, perfectly adorned interiors coupled with an amazing view of the mighty Himalayas doesn't even begin to describe why I'm in love with this place. As soon as we reached the dock, we were greeted by an entourage of staff and were seated in the houseboat Front Area with a nice hot cup of Kahwa and assorted cookies. The owner personally greeted us and as we spoke about our trip,we instantly knew we were going to enjoy every bit of our experience in the houseboat. The owner spoke to us for a good hour about his travels and experiences about the world and personally made sure we were taken care of with a scrumptious Kashmiri dinner. The chef also delivered on our dessert request. The staff were so polite and welcoming and took care of our every need no matter what. There's something to say about the hospitality & extreme kindness of the Kashmiri people and this place definitively deserves an award for the best hospitality ever. I definitely recommend this place, not just for the experience of staying in a luxurious and well maintained houseboat, but for everything in between. I promise your heart will be full with love for the people of Kashmir and you'll want to come back for more because of how well the owner and the staff take care of you at Lake view shreen Group of Houseboats !

a nice houseboat with great hosts and a very good location and a solid price-performer!

The hosts were great, with a a special call-out to Farouq! They were kind, helpful and gracious -- and flexible. The food was very good, The location faces other houseboats and does not face the main road, which made for a peaceful stay. The attached photo was taken from the dining table at the front of the boat.

It so happened that Srinigar was very warm while we were there, and the room -- not surprisingly on a houseboat -- did not have built-in air conditioning. An in room auxiliary unit, which was effective more of a fan that an A/C helped and was sufficient if not outstanding.
