Very good

Like a lot of old buildings, there is no elevator so I had to carry my luggage up four flights of narrow stairs. Which is fine but its good for people to be aware of.

Exceptional

Amazing hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quick to answer any queries. Room was perfectly clean and a good size. Bed was very comfortable and allowed for a great night's sleep. Weather was warm while I was there but the room had a fan provided which was great. The bar downstairs is a great place to have a few drinks or a nice meal. Property is about 15-20 minutes walk from the main station in Heidleberg and is in a great location right on the Neckar. I'd definitely recommend taking a walk up to Knigstuhl for the amazing views of the town and the Neckar river. Took me about 2 hours to walk up but there's also a train. Overall it was 10 out of 10 and It'll definitely be where I choose to stay next time I'm in Heidleberg.

Good short stay to see Heidelberg

Good location on one end of the old city area. Nice bar downstairs (if a bit pricey). Rooms were adequate, as advertised for sure and a bit decorative to look old-timey.

Stairs were quite steep, not a huge deal but something to be aware of. Our neighbors were not very considerate with their noise but that is not something the place can control.

Great location in Heidelberg, close to the river and to the main street. The beds were confortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly and the hostel also has a nice bar on the 1st floor.

Certain areas of the wooden floor of the bedroom and corridor were very noisy when people walked over it. We could hear if someone in our room or the room next door got up and walked to the bathroom in the middle of the night due to the noise of the wooden floor.

Great location , Great staff

Great location, staff are polite and friendly. The Room was given to us 2 hours before check-in time and because we had luggage they kindly changed our room to lower floor.

Theres no cooling system in the room except fan. Room gets hot in warm days. No elevator to use and stairs are really narrow if you have luggage with you.

The location was great to easily get to any location by bus and tram.

The staff were very impersonal and at times even grumpy. Not a welcome a family would expect on holiday. Staff seemed more concerned in running the pub than welcoming hostel guests.
