Awful, never again, dont waste your money here. Highly recommended to stay away!! 0 stars!

This is an awful property in an excellent location. Needs full refurbishment and I believe the owner want to sell and hasnt put any money in looking after the property. Leaky roof and bathrooms, constantly soggy and damp, our room looked like it hadnt been dusted in over a decade. Poor condition everywhere, and Ive stayed in nicer hostels. Very overpriced and nowhere near value for money. Stay away, from this hotel. It took me 4 days to get my deposit back and this was only refunded when I threatened a police report for theft. Staff are non existent, non contactable and this place is a disgrace to booking.com

Everything was awful from the moment we arrived, staff late to open the hotel, excuses of bad traffic due to road closures in the area. Terrible quality room I wouldnt even say is fit for a dog. The location is perfect, but the hotel hasnt had 1 MYR spent on it in decades. Absent owner Im sure is holding on to it hoping to sell to a property developer. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

Disappointing

Great location but the facilities are under run.

The location of the hotel which is just next to the riverside.

It took us just too long to check in. Apparently the reception couldn't find our booking details from their records and made us wait very long to get a room. I am glad that one of the staff a Malay girl is very kind and helpful to place us in another room to rest while waiting. Eventually they moved us to a smaller room with the same price charged. We didn't demand for a rebeat anyway. What is more disappointed is the check out experience and the refund of deposit. There are no staff in the premise when we checked out at 10.30am. We are instructed to drop the key and leave our account info at the reception counter for the refund process. It took us 3 days to receive the money that is also after few reminders sent to them via WhatsApp. Their management really need to look into this seriously.

Superb location. Great stay. The restaurant at the property was a bonus. The room was clean. Great idea of leaving our shoes at the bottom of the stairs, it gave us the assurance that the floor is clean.

Water was not able to drain fast at the shower area, thus, creating a little pool at our feet during a shower.

rather loud music and due to lack of staff the hotel did not open until 3.00pm or later. I had contacted them in advance to leave my bag on arrival but there was no one around and the hotel locked so left it at another hotel while I explored during the day coming back at 4.00pm. I was v tired as it was 37 degrees and had not slept on the overnight flight. I had a short rest when the hotel opened but after a meal at a local restaurant I fell and ended up in hospital with a broken pelvis and arm soo I did not have a night at the hotel! the staff were v helpful next day- again the hotel was locked until after 3.00pm when I collected my bag with their help. I would like to send a special thanks to the Chinese lady and her three sons who looked after me until the taxi arrived to take me to the airport in KL.

Very good

The location was really really good. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of old town Melaka. Good place to soak in all the vibes. Major attractions and good food within a short walk. Parked our car nearby and didn't need it throughout our stay.

Plumbing and electrical weren't that great since this is a really really old building, but its not that bad.

the property has a restaurant and at night music, which overall is fine but they do play until 12:30am, when your trying to sleep upstairs is very very hard. wish I knew this before I booked.I would have packed ear plugs

Experience not worth having

Location was good.

Strange that there are no staff on duty in the morning or at night. There was no sign on the room door which tells you to open outwards and the door was so difficult to open. We couldn't even operate the smart TV box as there were no instructions. The bidet hose in thr bathroom was broken so when it was turned on, water sprayed all over the place.
