Coachmans Cottage

Loved Coachmans Cottage very cosy bed, very comfortable everywhere was spotlessy clean. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Definitely going again. Staff were very friendly and made us so welcome.

Great location rooms and splendid food

Stunning property in a great location. Good value for money. We attended a Christmas party night - food was superb at the function and breakfast was freshly cooked with great choice. We stayed in the game keepers cottage which was 2 small rooms, one being a lounge area with tv, sofa, kettle, fridge and microwave so great if staying for a few days and you didnt want to eat out. The other room had a large double bed shower and toilet/ sink. The only downside was bed was up against a wall and could do with a new mattress to prevent the roll together. The cottage wouldnt be suitable if unsteady on feet as it has 4 high steps to get into it, and the room is accessed around the back of main building up an uneven path. The room had lovely character.

Beautiful rural setting. Friendly, helpful staff who tried to make us feel well looked after.

The lack of lunch and dinner and of a bar. There are restaurants within a few miles and two companies deliver to the hotel. We did not realise this before we booked, and we note that the hotel is now described (correctly) as Harrisons Hall Bed and Breakfast. The room was also cold despite two heaters, but in fairness it was unusually cold weather (-5 degrees).

Very good value stay in a beautiful and convenient spot.

We had a great stay here, just one night in the coachmans cottage. It was a lovely room with a small living area and very well provided. In a beautiful location, and breakfast was excellent too with a lovely member of staff serving. Would definitely return.

It was maybe a little on the chilly side but weather was unseasonably cold!

Lovely stay..........Ruined

A quite astonishing attempt to get additional money from me after I had departed, stating a ruined mattress. I had already found said ruined mattress hidden behind a door that was not quite closed during my stay. 2 hours after leaving the property, I received a message from the management alleging damage to the mattress that was perfectly fine upon leaving. Queried and not heard anything further. Place is lovely and a great location, but I strongly advise you to take photos of your room before you leave.
