Pleasant

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.

When I booked my room, I did not realize the hotel was pet-friendly. An occupant down and across the hall from us had a dog that barked and barked, but did quit by bedtime. There were also small children running up and down the hall. They also stopped around bedtime. That was not a deal breaker. I'm older now and would have never allowed my children to act in such a way just out of consideration for other occupants. I do understand the excitement of being away from home on vacation. Maybe their parents needed them to burn some energy. I guess neither of the issues stated above caused me enough grief to report them, but did keep me from giving a great review. One other frustration was the slowness of the channel changer /TV remote. There was no just flipping through channels to see what was on. I've never seen one near that slow before.

Upstairs room was quite noisy in the mornings, There was a baseball tournament the same weekend and the foot traffic as load!

Disappointing

Usually like this hotel but not this time.

At the time of booking my stay, I made a note on my reservation that my son had severe autism and that we needed a room away from hallway traffic. Instead, we were given a room in the middle of the hall right next to the elevator. A baby cried outside our door and my son had a very bad meltdown during which he picked up a flashlight and threw it at the television involuntarily. We ended up having to leave that night and drive home four and a half hours after just arriving a couple hours before. Since then, I have discovered that we have been charged over $600 for the television. In addition, housekeepers up and down the Halls were blasting traditional Mexican music very loudly in rooms while they were cleaning and had the doors open. This caused further agitation with my son's autism disorder. We have stayed a few times at this hotel and have never had any trouble, but the television was not broken out of negligence. I do not feel I should be charged for it because if we had been given the room we requested, this would not have happened in the first place.
