Very satisfactory location, quiet and peaceful. But the level of cleanliness needs to be improved,

Choices for breakfast are very limited. The location is very satisfactory, close to the square and food court. Only less than 100 meters.

The bathroom is not clean, the wastebasket is too small and the toiletries are not attractive.

A village oasis in a busy city

An absolute oasis. It is a beautiful place in a very quiet area. Maria was a wonderful host. It is a great area to walk around, especially Alun-Alun Kidal Square at night. Easy walk to the Water Palace and Sultans Palace. The Bale Raos restaurant, as recommended by Maria, is nearby and a must visit! Walking through narrow alleys to get there reminded us of Venice.

The place is objectively gorgeous, the garden, porch, courtyard as well as the rooms look great, and one can easily see the history in the location. It just feels good to be in such an environment, as it allows one to further immerse themselves into the atmosphere of older and colonial Yogyakarta

Breakfast is very poor considering the luxury of the place. Some hostels do serve a better/bigger size. I would just add more items for guests to choose from The staff tries their best to provide a good service. All of them are polite and kind, but unfortunately that is not enough. The majority of then does not seem to be fluent in English, which results in difficulties when it comes to asking/conveying a point. The young lad with a mask on was not very service-minded, he would just nod, smile and say 'ok' to everything without really understand what was going on and/or not wanting to help out. The service feels forced and robotic (that seems to be common in Indonesia). The staff should just relax and be more personal in their contact with the customer In general, the guesthouse has a huge potential but small details (again mainly the service level) do not allow it to elevate itself completely. The location is fine if you are really interested in the Kraton area, as it is located within walking distance of the Sultan's palace and water palace, but to experience some nightlife I would recommend being a bit closer to Malioboro Street, which truly is the highlight of the city

Beautiful, clean, good to work with the laptop, but not really good to sleep

The palace is beautiful, like a museum. And clean. And quiet... even if outside you can often hear the noise of the external units of the AC. There is the water dispenser very convenient also for coffee and tea. It's possible to work with the laptop from the room, table and chair are comfortable enough and wifi is good. Breakfast is punctual and good.

As written above, it was possible to hear the noise of the external units of the AC. Too much light, impossible to avoid it in the morning. Uncomfortable pillows. I rarely felt so tired after a few days spent trying to sleep in a place.

I would highly recommend the Griya Asih, it is an beautiful traditional House with 6 rooms. The staff were always very helpful and kind and we ended up, due to illness, relying on their help a bit. It's a small team of staff and they were just great. The breakfast was very very good, and resulted in us not needing lunch, it consisted of local food that was very well cooked and presented, and there was European choices as well. The rooms were clean and quite big and the on-suite bathroom was clean with an excellent shower that could deliver a real blast of water if needed. It's in a quite road about 150 meters from a main square that comes alive with families and friends at night, it's clearly a local focal point and was fun to walk around in the evening. Overall a really good 5 nights.

Very beautiful honestly with friendly staff. The room was very comfortable, and had everything you need. Everything worked! The location at first felt luke you were in the middle of no where but you're only 10 minutes walk from taman sari and 15 minutes walk from popular restaurants.

As I'm a westerner. It's a little far from quick amenities like a mini mart.
