An oasis of peace in a hectic city.

It is a beautiful villa. An oasis of peace in the middle of the hectic city. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful design.I will definetely stay here whenever I come to Colombo.

Cedric and his hotel are absolutely great!

Cedric, the owner, is the most lovely Person! He's always super supportive, super kind and always there for a chat or a joke! His house is lovely, the room was very spacious with the best showers (hot and great pressure) on our travels. The bed was comfy and huge, the air con worked perfectly and the hotel is in a very quite area! There are restaurants, supermarkets and Cafs around, so everything you'd need. The house is surrounded by plants ans Cedric takes so much care of those and his guests. Would definitely recommend to come here if you're looking for a place with good value for money.

As there were a few moskitos in our room, a moskito net would have been great. Also air con in the community space would be nice.

The room.was spacious, clean and had everything you need. I also loved the balcony. The location = supercalm.

When somebody uses water, you hear the rambling noise of the waterpump.

Decent budget option but not in the heart of town

This was a pretty good value for money option in Colombo and the staff were always helpful and attentive. The room was pretty big and had a balcony although the weather didn't really give much opportunity to use it.

It's a little bit more dated and worn than the photos might suggest and the location is a bit out of the centre of the action but there's plentiful transportation options if you don't fancy the walk.

Friendly owner and staff. Nice, quiet location.

Be aware that the bathroom windows don't have glass but are permanently open frames, so anyone sitting outside on the terrace can hear your business! The mattress needed replacing.

Very good wifi. Very good shower. Pressure and hot water. Quiet area. I slept well!

Not that many choices for restaurants close by. A little far from centre. But with tuk tuk not much of a problem.

good value for money in calm area

The hostel is located in the Havelok area away from the noisy and busy roads at the end of a dead road and therefore pretty calm. Rooms are clean and nice. There are 2 common areas and a small garden to chill. Its a short walk from the next supermarket, a few good restaraunts and the main road. So u have good access to take a tuk tuk or to take the bus to get around in the city. The owner is very friendlly and helpful. He will give u good advices on how to get around and where to go. Having been in Colombo already a few times he could still give me a few good reccomendations which I highly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

So nice that I stayed here twice!

I booked this place twice!! Cedric is so kind! He made time to chat to me even during the Cricket World Cup and kept my extra bag for a couple weeks as I traveled around the country! Without hesitation, you should book here! It's 10/10 for me. I wish I'd asked for more advice from Cedric before just going off and doing stuff I read online and in Lonely Planet (there is an English and German copy in the "living room"). He was always spot on! The museum in Colombo? Quite good! The Natural History Museum? Uhhhhh, just skip it. So glad I booked here! Have no fear, the grocery story and kitchen are a godsend, plus so many good places deliver on Grab.

BOOK THIS PLACE!

If you're staying 1 night, I recommend this place. If you're staying several days or weeks, I recommend this place. Cedric is amazing and the other staff are nice. Colombo is not the best place in Sri Lanka, but Greenscape is a great place to be while you're in Colombo, in-between all the great places. Very comfortable and clean. Not luxe, just lovely. You can walk to a bunch of places: coffee, cafes, restaurants, groceries, a haircut... I didn't cook, all Grab delivery. But the kitchen is convenient and eating on the porch out back listening to the rain is beautiful! So many options!

ALL GOOD! I wish I'd gone upstairs to see the art immediately!
