Exceptional

Suresh and his wife were amazing ! So hospitable and Suresh went out of his way to make every guest have an amazing experience. The room was so clean, large, comfortable bed, hot water and we had beautiful view from our terrace. We bird watched and saw monkeys in the morning, it was very idyllic Honestly, the best place we have stayed in India so far !!

A perfect homestay - highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing home stay, and it exceeded all expectations. The staff, led by welcoming owner Mr Suresh went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, The thoughtful gesture of bringing tea when I was unwell touched our hearts deeply, and your efforts in organizing day trips and personally guiding us to places were beyond what we could have expected. The homestay was without doubt the best we have come across in India so far, the rooms were very clean, beds super comfortable and the showers were powerful and warm. I would highly recommend staying here

Informative, friendly and helpful host, who is also a knowledgeable bird watcher and can tell you what birds you see in the garden . The garden view from the balcony is magical, just like living in the jungle. We saw macaques ,langurs and loris swinging through the trees. Also a Malabar giant squirrel. Some beautiful birds also. Good powerful shower with plenty of hot water, and a big firm bed. Location is great , very close to the lake reserve. Kumily is a really nice little town, too. If you like a peaceful , quirky restaurant then try Ebony's, the porridge is lovely.

You can't leave your things on the balcony, the macaques will steal them.

Located in walking distance to everything. Nice balcony with a view to the garden. Very cheap for Kumily

Very basic room and very simple bathroom. Unfortunately the room was not so clean. In the photos the place looked better than in real life.

Nice place

The property was clean, well located and maintained. The staff was very helpful with all the indications on how to arrive at Thekkady and to the hostel. It has a wide range of budget friendly options with reasonable prices. There were mosquito nets on the window and they also helped me with the booking of the tickets for the National Park

Although it has common terraces, I would recommend it more for large groups, friends or couples traveling together rather than solo travellers. I feel a female solo traveller might feel more at ease at other locations with a more international ambience.
