Disappointing

Run-down hotel in a bad condition

The location next to the Cala Gran beach is good.

A run-down hotel with many problems. Loud noise from a neighbouring bar until 23.30 at night. Informing the management did not help. Staying at the ground floor also ment roosters and hens making noise early in the morning. We got to change rooms, which we appreciated, but the music volume was still high. The regular beds were OK, but the extra bed in a box on the floor was bad with a thin mattress. The sheets in the bed were old with stains and holes. When we informed management and got new sheets, several of these also had holes and stains. The pillows were so old they were nearly flat. Some of the pillowcases had holes and the old pillows seemed very unhygienic. We asked for new and better pillows and got some, but not for the whole family. The all-inclusive food is often over-cooked and most dishes are very industrial/artificial, especially the desserts. The dining room is crowded and loud. Hard to find a table for more than 4 persons. There was a bad smell in the bathroom. The hotel needs to improve its communication and its signs. Things are hard to find, information feels dated and signs are few. Information about entertainment is posted in a powerpoint shown only for a few seconds.

Had a wonderful time a lovely break before the winter perfect time of year

Everyone member of staff were exceptional in their attitude towards guests the restaurant staff were great at making sure tables were cleared and reset fo guests Our room was cleaned to a high standard and the reception staff were very informative and extremely helpful Overall we had a great experience we met up with family also staying in the hotel they have been guests before and recommended it to me

i have a problem with stairs so getting to the dining room was a little difficult but couldn't complain about anything else

Disappointing

Had a fabulous break but wouldnt go there again. Cala dor is Beautiful and would return there but stay elsewhere

The location was the only positive !!

The food was awful ate breakfast there once and didnt venture into the restaurant after that!! Snacks terrible deposits needed for plates!!! Rooms were ok, however not properly clean

Food was great and lots of different choices. The location was super, couldnt be better. Staff at the restaurant was so nice and helped me because I have lots of food allergies. There where lots of gluten free choices and they had also gluten free bread (when I asked). Everybody was so nice to our girl. All inclusive was great and evening program also was nice. Pool areas was great.

Rooms need some renovating. But we didnt spent that much time there. Other all inclusive desk near the children area and the other pool could be open until the pool is closing.

Great location, friendly staff but food needs improvement.

Lovely location. Central to all the shops, bars & restaurants.

4 pools advertised but only one pool open and 3 pools closed off. The one pool open did not have enough space, hence a race to get a space for sunbeds. Food disappointing. Breakfast bacon always cold, eggs overcooked. Evening meals not good and lacked variation. We went outside the Hotel for a few meals in the end.

Expectations are never fullfield

The room cleaning was excellent. Always on time and well done.

It was our 4th visit to Gavimar Cala Gran. The food quality is continuously deteriorating. This visit, fish and meat were not fresh on some occasions. The majority of desserts were not eatable. I would prefer a smaller amount of food, but better quality. And the bar should be able to make dissent coffee, not a strange brown liquid. We had to go to the bar in the village every morning to get an espresso.

Breakfast was excellent, choices for all tastes. Fresh, ample supply of everything- if anything went low staff were very quick to replace - always with a smile

Can really think of anything really, perhaps room was a bit small for three adults. However this did not cause any difficulty.

Average hotel in great location

Location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach and right by town whilst quiet. Our room was bigger than last time we stayed, yes the rooms are dated, in need of upgrade but how much time is spent in your room? Food was good, more choice than in the 2 4star hotels we went to next. All inclusive restaurants get repetitive if you stay a while, this one is no different but don't know what others are moaning about.

Pools are very small with limited number of lounges available. Whilst there is air con in the bedrooms there is non in any other areas, bar, lounges, corridors, reception etc making the hotel unbearable.
