    Superb
Good location for New Years Eve visit to Jam House, a 10 minute walk away.
Clean, well-appointed, very friendly team. Good pub associated with the property.
Breakfast was just oat pots, yoghurt and orange juice cartons. Upgrade to junior suite (Rm 1) was a lovely gesture but next to the front door of the property (which is heavy and difficult to open & close) so ones women each time the next guests come in, struggle with door, chatting outside Rm 1 & clattering on wooden floor outside.

A Lovely Property with Noticeable Downfalls
We stayed in Room 1 which is the Junior Suite, the room was lovely, very open with everything you could want. The breakfast was continental and was brought to the room by the staff instead of at the pub next door (due to low occupancy at the time) and the selection was very good and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The bath in the room was a welcome addition and the bed provided a solid night sleep.
The walls were very thin and the room is by the main entrance, so noise from the adjoining pub was very apparent, additionally both staff & guests came and went and very odd hours of the night during our stay and were not mindful of other guests. If you value sound proofing and undisturbed sleep I would consider another hotel. The wi-fi was very slow (+/- 2MB). The reception was not manned at any point (during our stay) and instead there is a phone number to call when something is needed as its more of a come & go property rather than dedicated hotel.

    Disappointing
A missed opportunity to become a great venue- serve breakfast next door at the button factory- a ban
Such potential but sadly a poorly looked after tired property taking advantage of the the lack of hotels in the area and missing the opportunity to be a choice hotel to stay in where repeat business and recommendations would help the business thrive and allow reinvestment

Staff were very friendly bed was comfortable good to get 20% of food at the next door button factory good quality biscuits provided in the room and choice of tea and coffee breakfast was delicious continental with a good choice of food
I would suggest more milk bags be provided in the room as plenty of tea and coffee but not always enough milk

Beautiful and restorative stay with comfortable rooms and a well equipped bathroom
Great location and lovely staff. I travelled alone and found the hotel perfect for independent solo travellers, staff greeted me for check in, explained how the keys worked, then left me to my own devices, which I prefer. I still knew how and where to contact them if I needed. Complimentary breakfast provided midweek, it consisted of yogurt/OJ/instant Porridge/fruit you could help yourself to provided from a fridge in reception. I like the trust the staff have in guests. Room was immaculate and beautiful, bed was comfortable, lovely high ceilings and lots of lighting options- 2 bedside lamps, 1 overhead and 1 desk lamp. A big TV and 2 fans provided too. Bathroom was clean and had a rainfall shower- big plus! Check out time was 11pm- not too early which I always appreciate.
I stayed in room 9. The toilet seat was loose and shifted when used, plus did not remain open. Upon checkout I didn't encounter a staff member to pass this information on, in case it wasn't flagged yet. Absolutely did not take away from my stay at all though.
