Little gem in the heart of KL.

The hotel is amazing overall, very charming and quiet.

Parking nearby is convenient but could be expensive. Housekeeping does not replenish some items but you could easily request for them. Breakfast service is a little hit and miss.. orders go missing but service is commendable.

Probably the prettiest little island you can find in all Kuala Lumpur.

The facilities and the room itself were very beautiful and the foods and drinks very delicious.

The toilets bc you cant properly flush them That the staff messed up my breakfast to go and even worst- my taxi transfer to the airport

A cozy, stylish and lush hotel right smack in the heart of KL.

I booked a two night stay in the Sanctuary room for my 40th birthday. I was expecting a cozy room seeing as the hotel is located in an old building, in the heart of KL town but I was surprised that the room was spacious and even had a balcony. In the mornings and evenings, it was nice to chill on the balcony while watching and listening to the hustle and bustle of KL town. The interior design and decor of the room is lovely. Just as lovely as the other areas of the hotel- Raw kitchen hall, the library, Yellow Fin Horse, etc. The staff were kind and very helpful. I managed to get a late check out- thanks to the convenient Suite pad on the nightstand. Impressed that the room came with a yoga mat and also Dyson hair dryer. The food at Raw and Yellow Fin Horse is really good. This is a place that cares about exciting flavours. The breakfast menu was good too- again very tasty meals ( the parfait, pastries, hash and soto ayam were good). Thank you to the hotel for decorating my room for my birthday and giving me complimentary birthday cake. I can't wait for my next stay at Else.

While I understand the hotel is surrounded by many local stalls and restaurants, it may be nice to include a bit more local options in the in room dining menu or breakfast menu.

Tastefully decorated rooms but breakfast could be improved

Great location in Chinatown. Tastefully decorated rooms. Very polite and conscientious staff. My request for new pillows was attended to well.

No buffet breakfast. Not enough Asian options for breakfast which felt unusual for a Malaysian hotel. Otherwise breakfast was quite tasty. I noticed that the recommended special beef hash was unavailable for breakfast on both days that I stayed, which made me think maybe it should be removed from the menu entirely?

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff was incredible, the room was clean and beautiful, the location was perfect. I loved everything about my stay here and am so excited to come back.
