Quiet lovely stay

I loved the peaceful environment and being surrounded by nature. Only a short walk to St George's Lake and a short drive to the town, blue waters, and La Gerche Forest. It was perfect for a 2 night getaway. Even though it was a busier time of year, the town is Creswick is still a quiet little town with lots to do, and the location of Eastern Hill is definitely a winning point.

I would have liked a few more cooking facilities. With only a toaster, microwave, and kettle, it was hard to cook ourselves a nice dinner or lunch. Perhaps an electric fry pan would be a nice addition or more accessible BBQ. The check-in process was a little frustrating. It stated we could check in at 3pm. However, we arrived at 4 pm, and the room still wasn't ready. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes at the Farmers Arm Hotel, which I believe is a tactic to spend money at the bar while waiting for your room. But after driving on the road for a few hours, the last thing you want to be doing is waiting around for them to sort out your check-in. None of the staff seemed to understand the booking process or know how to use the check-in on the computer.

It was just beautiful Clean tidy quite retreat Had everything you needed

I personally have no complaints I know the kids said I was lucky as I had sunk in my room But other than that no complaints at all :)

Really disappointing. Was so excited and so let down.

Lovely seeing the kangaroos. Nice and quiet location.

Room smelt mouldy. Really strong mouldy and not a healthy thing to be inhaling . Kitchenette should say there is no sink. We were planning to cook some of our own meals, but a kitchenette without a stove or sink isnt one - misleading. No toiletries. One face washer for 2 people??? Coffee is 3 years out of date. Maintenance men arrived at 7am. That was nice and relaxing listening to the whipper snipper and ride on for 2 hours!! No cleaning products. Unable to open window for fresh air. If you want positive reviews, you need to provide facilities that provide them. The hot water lasted less than 6 minutes. Heat lamp in bathroom broken. No space to put anything on the bathroom bench - there isnt one. so sat on the floor and in the room with us. Not a great experience at all.

The location was good and having the wildlife was great to have around. The large window in our cabin was the best and great.

Not what I paid for, or the location advertised

not much, I felt I was tricked to thinking this accoodatin was in the main street of Creswick, when infact thats where you collected the keys to then drive 5 mins away to a very dirty room.

there has never been a duster through the place, the couch was like a rock & the hot water was very intermittent

Site embedded in nature.

The bed was comfy and sheets were soft. Also, roos showed up in the grassy area around dusk. Creswick is a smaller town, but bakery staff were friendly. If you want quiet "recharge" time, this is a good place.

I think the owners are refurbishing the property bit by bit, e.g. adding native trees/flowers. It's nice now and the flowering shrubs are also very nice, but as the trees/shrubs grow and add to the full sized trees already there, it should get nicer and nicer. As a result I'd be interested to come back and see it again in a couple of years. That's more a "I don't have a time machine" issue than a "property" issue to be honest.

I TRAVELLED WITH MY ELDERLEY SISTER AND SHE WAS ON A FRAME, THERE WAS NO Handrail AT THE STEPS. NO RAILS IN THE BATHROOM, THE TV WAS DODGEY, AND THE SHOWER HEAD WAS RIDICULUS, YOU COULD NOT WAS ABD USE SOAP DISPENSER AT THE SAME TIME
