    Gertrude, the lady responsible for keeping the home clean was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort! Close to Life Fourways Hospital - which was our main requirement.
    Upon arrival there were dirty dishes lying around. The toilet seats were also broken in the guest bathrooms - one came completely off. Once we contacted the host he immediately responded, was apologetic and even offered to have them repaired but with having to work from home we couldn't deal with the disturbance. The property also has a generator which is loud and definetely not a solution if one has to take part in meetings. Furthermore, whenever we turned it on the security would come to advise us to turn it off due to the noise and disturbance to the neighbours. He reiterated that it was against the Body corporate rules. We simply gave up using it to keep the peace. Before checking in, we were required to pay a refundable R2 000 deposit where we 'commit to keep the house safe' which we did. We were advised that the deposit would be refunded within 2 days of checking out - the host advised of same upon inspection of the property. However, one week post checking out the deposit has not been refunded! Several follow-ups have been done with the host who responded that he "does not defraud clients of $120" but the fact remains that the money has not been returned to my account. In the end, the unpleasant experience with our stay at this property has added to a very stressful personal medical situation in which we find ourselves as a family in a city which we don't call home. Would not recommend.
