Devonshire Park Hotel offers spacious rooms with friendly staff, conveniently located near the beachfront and town center. Guests enjoyed the cooked breakfast and overall service. However, some noted (Read More) that the shower was underwhelming and the mattresses (two singles pushed together) needed replacing. Overall, a comfortable stay with good amenities and nearby activities.

Location was excellent for theatre, beach and town. Seems a favorite with regulars . Good choice of breakfast food. Staff willing to help
Typical seaside large hotel that is very tired and shabby in places and in need of update. Beds / sofa lost their spring. Shower needs a good scrub on grouting. Heating was excessive

A comfortable stay
Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel provided a good hospitality tray, and soft towels. Everywhere was very clean. When we were out for the evening, our room was refreshed. Reception was friendly and efficient. Free car parking on site was really appreciated. There was a lift which was a welcome surprise in an old building. The location was very convenient and in a quiet street.
Breakfast on our first morning was lovely, but on our second morning, we noticed that the items were different- no hash browns and baked beans although we said that we didnt want any when we ordered. We asked for toast and had to ask again as it didnt arrive. The breakfast was fine, but not up to the standard of our first morning. On checking out, it was pointed out that the room we had been given was not the category we had booked and so the hotel kindly apologised and deducted from the price of settling the bill, but although we didnt really mind, it was a little disappointing and we werent really sure why this had happened. We dont stay in hotels very often, so when we do, we like to spend a little more in order to get a really good room and on this occasion we didnt receive that.

Warm welcome. Large comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Very friendly staff.
