    Location was tucked away, allowing for peace and quiet. The style was quite unique and quite charming with a bit of quirkiness. The breakfast area was well maintained, and the food was good. It was a shame to hear the restaurant is changing hands , staff and food was great.
    I think some of the upkeep of decor etc could be better. First impressions count for a lot. Whilt I appreciated the old charm the smaller imperfections could easily be maintained..

    Lovely looking hotel, but needs some work on painting outside. I was looking for a wedding venue but wouldn't have it here.
    They ran out of hot water - had to go down twice and was told that they were fixing the boiler. Had to go to breakfast without a shower which was not good. Room for breakfast was very small and service was poor. Couldn't have breakfast in the larger adjacent room although they let another couple use it after we had sat down. Went back to room - still no hot water ended up leaving and showering after a long journey home. . Was not offered to shower in another room.

    Hotel very cold shower in bathroom very low in water pressure also bathroom very grubby and needs refreshing TV remote not working was reported but was not resolved also inadequate non existent heating

    Hotel was lovely & clean, staff were lovely
    Ok so I arrived, night started off good until I got into my room at the end of the night after a very busy wedding. The bed was very hard & uncomfortable so suffering with a very bad back I'm paying for it today. I went to have a shower but the water was flowing very heavily from the hose so this meant that hardly any water was coming out of the shower head & the shower tray was flooded. I go downstairs to have my breakfast which was a full English & the items were swimming in grease. I couldn't stomach anything after that

    Our room was huge and spacious. Bathroom was lovely and spa bath was a bonus. Room was fairly clean although carpets were mucky.
    We were waiting at least 20 minutes for a staff member to check us in. I do understand there was a wedding going on but we do feel this was a long time to be stood around for. The manor is big and we did not hear the wedding until around 1am when the party came up to bed and were screaming and shouting along the corridors, children running back and forth. This put us off going down for breakfast in the morning despite actually already paying for this on top. As we handed back our key card the wedding guests were spilling out into reception as there were so many. Just avoid going whilst there is a wedding.
