It was an exceptional stay in a fascinating place.

The breakfast was a most sophisticated way to begin the day, as it was served to each table in the elegant breakfast room, while we were entertained by a pianist. Anna booked a tour of Matera for us, which was outstanding. I believe that Renato Favilli is the name of the company, and Gaetano was our excellent guide. The room was wonderful, decorated beautifully and tastefully. The location was also ideal. Both Anne and Giuseppe were outstanding receptionists. They also booked dinner reservations for us, and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Our stay at Corte san Pietro made our visit to Matera a highlight of our three- week trip in Italy. I highly recommend it, unequivocably.

Magical stay at Corte San Pietro

Corte San Pietro exceeded our expectations. What a magical stay! The rooms are so well thought out with the design and comfort. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety to choose from. The best part of our stay was the friendly hospitality from the owners Fernando and Marisa. What a lovely couple. We felt as though we had known them forever and became friends. Anna and the rest of the staff are super accommodating and helpful. Anna has such knowledge of the history of Matera. This is such a wonderful boutique hotel and we can't wait to return.

Pleasant for a relaxing stay yet close to the square

The location is terrific, with views of the church carved into the top of the rock. The breakfast spread was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is pleasantly big, with a generous-sized stone tub and a spa-like feeling.

The perfect place to stay in Sassi . Wonderful !

We liked everything about this charming , beautiful place. The situation right in the heart of Sassi. Its unique . Beautiful , cozy room. Wonderful friendly reception and the breakfast absolutely delicious. We would love to return. Thank ti everybody there

5 stars service and breakfast!

Five stars service. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is individually served with live music. They even have an underground cistern which is very interesting.

The glass shower door did not close fully, and was not smooth to roll close and open.

Everything was perfect

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. Anna at front desk was so sweet and took care of us from her heart and because of her, we had such a great time. Hotel is so beautiful filled with artistic and historical architectures, very clean. Breakfast was so gorgeous with local treats. This place is highly recommended!!!
