Koh Lipe is a gem of Andaman see and Castaway is a gem of Koh Lipe. Returning there every few years and each time not regretting.

Pleasant enough

Communal spaces, has everything you need.

Restaurant and bar close early. Toilets dont flush properly. Some of the bungalows are very dark, its hard to see what you are doing.

Overall, a fantastic stay right on the beach, great restaurant and friendly staff

This place had a really nice, chill beachy vibe. As soon as you arrive you feel the holiday mode activate! The bar/food area plays nice chill music and serves great food and drinks. There's a Happy hour between 5-7pm and it's close to the main walking street where all the restaurants and bars are. The iced coconut coffee is super refreshing and also recommend the pineapple fried rice! they also provide you with a list of recommendations of things to do and places to eat/drink beforehand which was a nice touch. If you need laundry done, there is a very nice lady that has a laundromat just outside the hotel and turns things around in one day.

no aircon. There is a ceiling fan which works well however on the really hot days, you don't get much relief. If this place had aircon, it would be perfect!!

Wonderful location, great concept, great staff. Caution for light sleepers - can get really loud because the huts are not isolated, you can hear the neighbours and there are many many boats with pretty loud engines close by.

Overall it was a perfect stay.

Lovely place with nicely furnished bungalows where we spent a week. We loved their cafe (it has a perfect seaview) and other common spaces such as their little library (good for remote workers).

Longtails (typical Thai boats) with their motors roaring tend to wake up light sleepers quite early in the morning.
