Adding to the issues was the fact that the money we had already paid for our stay was never refunded.

The worst experience in all our travels. Hotel staff's mostly dont speak english. The walls were in need of repair, and the ceiling in our room had a noticeable sag, creating an impression of neglect. However, the most significant disappointment awaited us in the bed. When we lay down to sleep, we discovered BEDBUGS in our bed! We were forced to relocate to another hotel in the middle of the night to ensure at least a few hours of sleep.

Superb

Great value on the Amalfi Coast

We were advised on arrival at Hotel MiraMare parking that the Casa Raffaele was closed for repairs, but were offered an apartment which suited us perfectly.

Breakfast selection could be a bit wider, perhaps fresh fruit and more types of yoghurt.

The idea of staying in a homely atmosphere of a very traditional Italian hotel was very appealing; unfortunately the reality of the stay was a bit different. We only stayed the first night of our visit and then moved to alternative accommodation. This was found for us by the very helpful and considerate duty manager and we greatly appreciated his help in organising this for us.

I feel it really important to point out that first of all, to reach the actual hotel you have to climb up four very steep and high flights of stairs. This was difficult and exhausting carrying suitcases and there is no lift. You would expect a lift in a supposed 4 star hotel. The actual ground level entrance was grim, dark and dirty. The main reason that we didn't stay longer than one night was that our bathroom did not have a really have a functional shower; there was only tepid water; and there was no WiFi in the room as was advertised.

TO AVOID !!!

Nothing. We initially booked this place for its charming old vintage decor and interior. But the photos online dont show the actual reality.

The house is basically falling apart. Theres no maintenance, this was confirmed to us by one of the staff members. The room that we had was old and musty. It had dust everywhere, especially under the bed (see photos). Its like they hadnt cleaned under the bed for months. Moreover, the bed was not comfortable to sleep in. We also read reviews that the beds have BEDBUGS! Also the staff wasnt welcoming at all - we felt not welcome here. the breakfast is mid. We even had a yogurt that was expired (see photo). Overall, we didnt feel comfortable staying there so we left after one night feeling distressed and disgusted.

Aniello is without question, a phenomenal superior host and exceeds any and all guest expectations. In our opinion there isn't a more polished, attentive Hotel representative in the world. He is without question, hands down, the absolute best in the HOSPITALITY HOTEL business!

Very nice place!

The place is very cool. It maintains it's vintage vibe, but it's very well kept, and the best part is the staff. Aniello was incredible. Also, breakfast is great as well!

I book this place for 1 week ! The terrible experience!! Don't do this mistake to come here !!! Stay away!! I see it online many reviews good and bad I didn't think the bad one are true so I book it and I did the very big mistake in my life !! The bad reviews are very true !! The bed and sofa are full of bed BUGS !! The room is mess ! When I arrive I was thinking I mistake the place ,down at the entrance is rubbish and no reception they are flats of people and you need to go 2 floors to get casa raffaele where the place is and you hind just rubbish on the way and smells of pee !! The Internet says is 4 start hotel this is very BIG LIE , don't believe!!! I didn't have courage to eat breakfast because I saw by mistake the kitchen and is very dirty! They didn't clean the room and didn't change the sheets were dirty till at 4am I go to look for new sheets to change because from the bugs was full of blood!! The room was number 8 ! And is very old the wall was broken and full of limescale and mold in the bathroom !! Don't waste your money on this place is the most horrible place and experience here !!! Stay away!!!
