Wonderful staff and unique accommodation

The staff were lovely - very helpful and polite. They put out some traditional portuguese NY treats and porto wine for guests as well since it was new year's eve. The building itself is a treasure. Recommended for someone looking for unique accommodation and great customer service.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Sao Mamede and will recommend the hotel to friends and family.

The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast choice and waitressing was excellent. The location was quiet and relaxing for such a central hotel. The welcome at reception was warm and the reception was very helpful.

Very good

Peaceful stay in a traditional building with friendly staff.

I like the fact it is a friendly family run hotel in a beautiful old building with original features. Also it had a bath as well as a shower en suite.

Couldn't recommend it enough!!

We loved the staff, all very nice and accommodating. They even gave us two glasses for wine and a bottle opener! Very thoughtful. Also, the room was very clean and tidy every day, and you don't find that these days!

Maybe the breakfast options could be a bit bigger, but it was still excellent.

Historic building with lots of character and 24 hour front desk staff. Wonderful staff that are attentive to every need. Room and hotel very clean, had a hot pot, cups, tea and strong blow dryer. Great location - 4 min walk to subway (Metro), bus 727 bus (to museums and Belem Tower or Tram. Continente grocery 2 blocks away- to buy a light dinner. Near the corner (same block) is a very good seafood restaurant Real Fabrica.
